Ted Cruz, the week's unsubstantiated rumor victim, helped unsubstantiated rumors go mainstream with his McCarthy-like Chuck Hagel attacks. This should bring some comfort to Cruz as he wonders how it got to be ok to try to ruin a man's reputation with no evidence, purely for political purposes. Sorry Ted - you helped build that.
