If you want to vote absentee in Virginia, you have to request your ballot *today" by 5pm. Visit elections.virginia.gov/absentee before it’s too late.

Thank you, Kathryn Culbertson, for taking the time It takes to wade through this convoluted proposal. The more folks look at it the more they realize how flawed and dangerous It is.

Thank you for showing and sharing your work on this.

Kathryn Culbertson

Getting to the heart of this issue has consumed much of my time for the past month. And, while I feel like I've found the answers I wanted, they're not easy/si...mple to understand and sort put to make an informed decision.
The fact is that the **current** #Question1 on the Virginia ballot is deeply flawed in its presentation and almost irreconcilably convoluted for the average voter to unravel.
Old school politics - including a last-minute compromise and back room dealing led to the question as it reads on the ballot.
It doesn't provide the whole picture or all the information needed to make an INFORMED decision. And, those who are urging a 'yes' vote on the measure have a great deal to gain at the expense of many/most other Virginians.

The links provided in the comments below should help you make that decision for yourself.

Contrary to my previous post, I will be voting NO on Question 1 on the November ballot.
There is a clear path to creating a non-partisan Commission to redistrict Virginia in 2021 and beyond, and the political climate is still in favor of doing so.

I am deeply disappointed in the behavior of both Democrats and Republicans at creating the endless confusion and perpetuating infighting around this issue. You have an obligation to be HONEST in your representation of these important matters both to your constituencies and Virginia voters at large, and not manipulate the truth for your political or personal gain.

If you are an elected official I vote for and support a Yes vote on this ballot, I will likely NOT vote for you in any election henceforth.
