Thursday night 2/15/
18 my son talked me into ordering, as we haven't ordered from there in over a year due to bad food! So, Thursday we had caeser salad and pizza it was amazing--so good we decided to... order again Saturday 2/17/18 well not good at all salad didn't even have enough dressing on it to cover the lettuce when we mixed it and the pizza OMG the cheese was brown and crunchy, burnt to say the least. I had to run to little caeser's so we could actually eat. For $25.00 for my order i expect food I can eat! So sad, years ago we ordered weekly from there now about once every two years looks like the max!
Tried to get in to eat last night, was told a 20 minute wait. Watched over the next 40 minutes as over 40 people left and people that had come after us were seated. Then was advised the restaurant
t...akes reservatio ns ( for over 5 years we've been told by staff they don't take reservatio ns so we didn't try to make them) So much for trying to support local business.
So much for take out. HA. Got 2 fish fries. Literally the nastiest thing ever. It's just 2 pieces of fish and slaw. I had to recook mine bc it was cold and I had to make my own fries. Too cheap to ev...en put a lemon slice. Could barely swallow it and damn well know we didn't finish it. Good thing we got a salad which is half decent & good thing I did recook mine bc my bf got sick from it. And gladly my kids didn't touch it. Should of listened to the employee when they even said "it's decent". This place is run down and dirty, the workers, food, atmosphere
. Can't wait for it to go out of business so something great can replace is. Good thing it wasn't my choice to get take out tonight, this place will never see a penny from me. Garbage. Negative 5 star from me.
Excellent as always! My father introduced
me to this place as a child and I have always loved it! We come to the Bell for birthdays/ anniversari es, etc since it’s a treat for us! Pizza is always good, ...salads are amazing (we order to serve 8 people when there is only 4 we love it that much), & the pasta... yum!
So I'm home for the ironwood fair I order food to go. Bread was molded and hair in my pasta and my sisters .. we called and told them .. all we go was in sorry and if you want fresh bread you can come... get some.... this was one of my favorite spots to go when I came home, now I don't even go anymore.
My husband had "The Works" pizza and said it was the best he'd ever had ....and he likes to eat pizza!! I had the seafood pasta with shrimp, crab and scallops with housemade linguini. It was DELICIOUS...! Only issue was the wine. Chianti was too sweet and the cab was just OK. Beer choices were good.
smelled like cat urine. The waitress was friendly but the food doesn't taste the same as when I was a child. the salad was soggy there was not that much meat and tomatoes and there was ...not that much cheese either.
Very good pizza but what they call a Caesar salad is not even related. It had tomatoes, turkey, and cubes of cheese. The dressing was definitely
not Caesar dressing either. Having said this, it was pr...etty good, maybe a little too heavy on the dressing but not a real Caesar salad.
Stopped yesterday for a Caesar salad and pizza. We got to sit down faster than I thought we would as they were busy. The pizza was delicious as always but the salad fell flat. The dressing lacked tast...e. The ingredient
s could be bigger like the cheese and meat. There was very little tomato in it. The croutons should be homemade. My Margarita wasn't what I am used to either. Didn't taste like a Margarita.
Went on mother's day. Place was packed as I expected. There were 2 waitresses
for the whole place. Took 20minutes to get our drink order. I mostly was excited for the salad and of course pizza. T...hey ran out of bowls, plates, and salad frequently . The pizzas were coming out one at a time for the whole crowd and gone in a minute. I was so upset. When I did get food it was good. I was very disappoint ed with how unprepared they were. I cried on the way home because it ruined my mom's and my day

I go to Bell Chalet everytime I visit here which is about once a year. I've been going there since I was a kid and I'm 55 now. Caesar Salad and a pizza is mandatory.
The Caesar Salad we had last ni...ght was as good as it's ever been. The pizza, however, was just not the same. It didn't taste bad or anything, but it just didn't have the "taste" I'm familiar with from "The Bell". Overall though - everything was good - the wait staff is very good - and I will go back next time I am visiting.
We saw the ad that they were once again serving fish fry so we went 7/7/17. It is not the same fish fry as years ago. They said it was haddock but the grilled fish was darn near paper thin and had ...no taste.. The fried fish was also pretty thin and almost tasteless,
BUT at least the batter was also very thin. The coleslaw was actually warm (one bite and we knew we didn't want anymore!) We were really happy to see the fish fry ad but will have to order anything else when we eat at the Bell.
We have had a cottage near Manitowish
Waters and every year we go up. My family and I dream of the Bell Chalet's Caesar Salad and Pizza!!!! My mother said after her prom dances they went to The Bell, ...she took my Dad there on their first date 32 years ago and they are married still! I bought my mom a drink at the Bar when I turned 21 and I felt proud because this has been the place of my childhood now it's of my adulthood! The Caesar dressing is the best I have ever found! The mix is just perfect! We love the Bell after we go to Lake Superior or even when we meet up with my Aunt!! When my grandpa was in hospice. My mother and I went two days in a row to the Bell.i couldn't get my mother to eat but she ate the Caesar Salad and we laughed about all the memories we have had with him at the Bell and it's kinda like home for us. When I bring my kids to the Cottage I want to take them to the Bell too! And say "This was Grandpa and Grandma's First Date"!!!

Wow! What a great place. Not only did they accommodat
e our large group for a funeral luncheon but allowed us to stay all day. The pizza was great and the pasta amazing. Our bartender Jared was graciou...s to our emotional group and kept us laughing all night. Even made sure to give us a cab # for town. I will absolutely visit again if I'm in Hurley and would recommend this reaturant to anyone! Kudos to the owners for a wonderful restaurant and great staff.
