A study by the Center for Studies on New Religions showed that nearly 90,000 Christians were killed for their faith in 2016 and 600 million prevented from practicing their faith through intimidation, forced conversions, physical harm or death.
The Open Doors World Watch List, which ranks countries according to their treatment of Christians, shows that of nine countries (marked red on the map) guil...ty of "extreme levels of persecution", eight are majority Islamic.
