So you will probably be seeing a lot more sci-fi themed projects coming out of my sewing room over the next few months. I’m teaming up with a very talented seamstress/costumer friend to put together a booth full of kid related items and costume pieces for the upcoming Shore Leave convention in July. It’s been really fun so far! Today I’m working on a pile of snugglie blankets 😁
Minecraft!! I’ve had little squares floating around my craft room for the last week and a half! These will eventually be pillows but I need to step away from them for awhile because my eyes are starting to hurt from staring at the pixelated images 😂
What’s your favorite Minecraft character?
I’m super jazzed about this one! I was inspired by a friend to do some geeky sewing so I spent a couple days searching for a cool project. I found a pattern for a Death Star and the instructions made my head spin so I ending up drafting my own (which ended up being easier than I expected so there may me some pattern making in my future).
This will eventually be the pillow part of a quillow.
So busy around here! I’ve got a couple projects bouncing around in my brain but I needed to get these pillows finished up first. Look, Foundation Paper pieced kimonos!
I decided to sandwich everything together and bind it like a quilt so that the edges aren’t flat and boring. I’m so happy with the way it worked out! Off to stitch the binding 😁
Everyone has been sick and miserable around here lately so I decided that it was time for a crafty project! I pulled out this cute stick puppet kit that I found at Lakeshore Learning and the kids had a blast! We added some scraps and ribbons that were floating around and now we’re ready for a puppet show!
These are so incredible, I just had to share!
These embroideries by Corrine Sleight are stunning!
