This is a show we put on every year. I would highly encourage you to submit work to this show as it looks great on a resume and is a great way to show off your hard work.
Submissions are open for the fifth-annual Lilian Yahn exhibition curated by our own students and displayed at the St. Charles Arts Council in O'Fallon. This year's theme will be Exposure and will center on the dual definitions of the term of either vulnerability or contact with something... as well as a disclosure or discovery. Artists and designers who select/create work in any media that meet these criteria should send digital images of those they wish to have considered to LUexposure@gmail.com. The deadline for submissions will be December 7 and any Lindenwood student can submit. We hope to have a strong showing again this year and showcase the talent of our students, so spread the word!
Sherwood Forest is a non-profit residential summer camp program serving kids in need from the Greater St. Louis region. Each year, we serve roughly 320 youth in grades one through nine. At Sherwood Forest we are dedicated to providing opportunities for St. Louis youth to learn, grow, and have fun.
This year we are hoping to recruit seasonal staff members that have an interest in working with youth and the arts. We offer an extensive creative and performing arts pr...ogram. Staff will have the chance to work with youth in a variety of artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, pottery, blacksmithing, and fiber arts, as well as performing arts such as music, theater, and dance. Staff will also gain experience in developing, planning and implementing curriculum. We are emailing you today to ask if you would forward this information along to your students.
Interested students can apply using our website at https://sherwoodstaff.campbrainstaff.com/. In addition to paid summer staff positions, we also offer paid internships. More information about Sherwood Forest can be found at www.sherwoodforeststl.org.
If you/your students are interested in exploring the possibility of internship opportunities, I would be more than happy to talk (and partner) with you in developing a collaborative internship whereby a student might earn credit towards his/her degree. Please feel free to contact us with questions, requests for additional information, etc. I can be reached by reply email or by telephone at 314-332-9580.
Thank you for any help you can offer.

Don't miss this opportunity!!
This is a great opportunity for an art student to teach what they know and get a good line on their resume.
My name is Lisa Kitchen and I am an event coordinator for the Campus Activities Board. We are having a special event at the beginning of November called Better Yourself Week. On Monday, November 6 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. we are hosting a "Painting with CAB" event. This will be very similar to Painting with a Twist where an artist will go step by step on how to paint the canvas given. Our original artist was unable to follow through with the event and we are in need for a volunteer artist to run the lesson.
