Chief Bill Payne was called out to do the cold water challenge for ALS awareness.
I took the ALS ice water bucket challenge. Over the past 24 hours I was nominated by Neil Freireich and my fire chief Bill Payne (Heidi Payne). I accepted both challenged with 2 buckets. I now nominate Kyle Miller JD Potteiger and Scott E. Young under Neil's challenge and in sticking with a township theme nominate my deputy chief counterparts Jan Bowerman from Paxtonia and Robert Coburn from Colonial Park. Since South Central EMS doesn't officially have a deputy chief I'm sure chief Jason Campbell will support my deputization of David Dugan to complete this challenge. Gentleman you have 24 hours good luck and god speed.
They're on! Come n get it starting at 10:00! Complete dinner for $8.50.

Thank you Linglestown Fire Company for putting happy faces on the kids in Goose Valley Lake development. And a special thank you for making the extra stop at Sherbourne Court so my 2 year old daughter... could see Santa. Not only did she get to see the fire trucks but you took the extra time to get out and give a gift from Santa. I know she won't remember but it brought tears to my eyes and will be something I will always cherish! You guys really are #1! See More

Thank you to the young man who went above and beyond this morning to try and rescue a cat that has been stuck in our tree for 2 days. I appreciate your dedication and sacrifices you make every day to those in need and I sincerely hope I did not offend anyone by calling. Happy holidays from my family to yours! See More

A "2nd home" for me now for 48 years. Made up totally of a fine local group of continually well-trained volunteers, our crew of "The Pride of the North Side" of Lower Paxton Twp. and its 12-item whit...e fleet of modern apparatus is always available to serve the travelers, residents, and businesses in our large response and mutual aide areas. New members joining us are always needed and appreciated. See More

Tonight 62 members of the township fire companies (Linglestown Fire Company, Colonial Park Fire Co. #1, & Paxtonia 34 Fire Company) got together at Paxtonia’s fire station for night one of two for our annual Haz-mat Operations Refresher. We strive to continue our education everyday.

Training never stops, even when you are in the late night transfer assignment and you take over their staffing board to calculate hose lays. Thanks Palmyra Fire for the use of your station staffing board
