Hey guys! You have probably noticed that I've been a little M.I.A on my page over the past few months and haven't posted on my blog. If you have followed me for awhile, then you know I'm usually absent when there are things going on in my life that require my full attention. This time is no exception. I am navigating through a quite difficult season (and that's saying something). I promise I'm still here and will return to my blog soon. When I do, I will share my story with all of you with the same honesty and transparency that I've done in the past. Thank you for being part of my tribe! (You can continue to send me your post ideas and messages. I read every one of them.)

I didn’t really want to write this post. I know it’s going to offend someone and leave a few people disillusioned with whatever program they’re doing or product they’re taking. I know that my friend requests are about to go down as people stop adding me for the sole sake of “getting me on their team.”

Whether you’re someone whose thinking about trying a product from an MLM company, were duped by a magical supplement, or are considering becoming a distributor, you should read this post.

Have you heard of the #saidnomother movement? These are parents with no hidden agenda. They are smart, educated, amazing, and influential parents. They aren't paid to share their stories and they aren't "anti-vaxxers." They vaccinated their children just like they were supposed to on the CDC's schedule.

Stories like these didn't convince me not to vaccinate ... what it did was spark the idea within me that I should research whether I should.

Facebook changed their algorithms again, which means even fewer people are going to see posts from this page. If you don't want to miss my posts, "like" and "follow" my page. Then, click the downward arrow at the top/right of your personal page (on desktop) or "Settings & Privacy" (on mobile) and select "News Feed Preferences." From here you can select what you see in your news feed. Go to "pages" and select "Living Whole." Thanks for being a part of my tribe!

This post is making the rounds again. I remember when I felt led to write this ... not because it's a salvation issue (because your salvation isn't based on your vaccination status), but because there are legit biblically-based objections to vaccinating and you should know what they are. I also felt like the church was taking a stance that quite frankly, was uneducated and unsupported by scripture. This was one of many posts I wrote to help you with your religious exemption but most importantly, to make you think about the ethical and moral implications of vaccinating from the Christian perspective.

Christians ... we need to talk. If you are not a Christian, this post is not for you. I still love you. I still accept you. I don't know what you believe and I'm not trying to convince you to believe otherwise. People who practice other religions ... I am not well versed in the art of your faith, so...

"Just take folic acid," they said. How many doctors over how many years have been telling pregnant women that they need to be on a folic acid supplement? Before I "woke up" eight years ago and realized that 99% of what we're told to do when we're pregnant is wrong, I took it too.

A new study shows that taking folic acid during pregnancy could cause food allergies (among the other long list of things we know it causes). Folic acid is bad. It has always been bad.

Folic acid is a synthetic form of folate (vitamin B9) and is recommended to pregnant women to prevent neural tube defects like spina bifida, right? Except that we're drowning in it and it's harmful.

I recently started taking activated charcoal. I can think of at least 500 perfectly valid reasons why I thought this was a good idea: White teeth, gut health, toxin absorption, better skin, and because it’s the cool thing to do to name a few. But really, it all came down to the fact that activated charcoal (AC) is a pretty potent natural remedy of the non-woo variety, and my never-ending need to step it up a notch thought taking a little AC was an excellent idea.

The CDC is recommending getting a second flu shot if your child is between the ages of 6 months and 8 years old. You know, because the first "supposedly" primes the immune system and the second is the protector.

Yes ... it makes absolute sense to assault a perfectly good immune system with a flu shot that doesn't work, is responsible for the tenacity of our current flu season, and contains carcinogens, heavy metals, and hazardous wastes. I can think of things that prime the immune system ... and the flu vaccine isn't one of them.

Common sense tells us that if something doesn't work and has the innate propensity to be harmful (and it has been determined by our nation's highest court that vaccines are unavoidably unsafe), the solution is not to take more of it.

We need to talk. There’s something you should know. If I don’t warn you, who will? There’s an evil market you’re supporting every time you use an essential oil, take a supplement, or choose something other than taking a pill for whatever it is that ails you. When you shut the door on your medicine cabinet, you open the door to something worse, at least that’s what you’ve been told.

If you’re trying to build muscle (and lose fat), protein isn’t optional. I have a protein shake every day (sometimes two). Something clean/whey protein isolate is my go-to. If it’s during a workout, it’s just whey and water, but if it’s during the day or before bed, I add extras.
.
.
➡️ Here’s the recipe for one of my favorite protein shakes: 1 Scoop of Ascent chocolate whey, 1 tablespoon of organic peanut butter, 1T of powdered PB (for the flavor without the fat), and 1/2 cu...p organic Cascadian Farms fruit blend. Combine and blend. >>> You have protein for muscle repair, carbs for energy, and fat to slow the release of sugar. <<< ✌️
.
.
Macros: 280 calories, 32g protein, 15.5g carbs, and 10g fat. 🙌🏻 Substitutes: Sunwarrior protein powder if you’re vegan, PaleoPro if you’re Paleo, bone broth protein, almond butter for peanut butter, or banana and 1/2 tsp brain octane oil or coconut oil for nut butter. 😉

I'm not sure why everyone is upset that the NRA donates to politicians. Pharmaceutical companies donate far more money and their drugs kill far more people than guns do. (This isn't about gun control ... it's about corruption.)

I interrupt your day to bring you the 411 on all things magnesium. It all started when I saw a post hating on one of my favorite magnesium supplements and a little verbal jousting that occurred over which supplement was the best of the best. What I realized, is that there are a lot of misconceptions about magnesium — when you should take it, how you should use it, whether you need it, and which form is best. Here are my thoughts on choosing the right magnesium supplement.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I am a big fan of the coffee enema. It was a huge factor in healing myself of Crohn's and a good detox isn't complete without it. The only people who are against using them are those who have never tried it or have no understanding of (or training in) the art of the enema whatsoever.

This might be a sensitive subject for some because we're going to talk about some personals: bumpers... coffee... and enemas. Don't be nervous. The only weird thing about doing an enema is not knowing how to do one, and by the end of this post, you will. Now I know what you're thinking, is the enema...

You don’t always have control over the circumstances you find yourself in, but you can control how you handle them. You can choose to let your circumstances overcome you, or you can choose to overcome them. Lifting weights is my outlet. It’s where I process and where I grow. I like the idea of becoming stronger (the physical affects the mental, spiritual, and emotional). I like knowing that because I am strong, I’m less likely to find myself in a position of weakness.

P.S. This is what 30 looks like. (Sumo DL, High Rep/Low Weight, 115 reps at 115#.)

The FDA is a joke. There’s really no nicer way to say it. By now you’ve probably heard that instead of cracking down on the drugs fueling the opioid epidemic, they are attempting to regulate homeopathic remedies, which is kind of funny because they supposedly contain no active ingredients whatsoever and cause about zero deaths each year. (Except when we’re making stuff up to scare people into believing there’s a sudden need to regulate something there’s no need to regulate.)

Why are they doing this, you ask?

Fish oil is something that you should take every day. Why? Because even with a healthy diet, you probably aren't getting enough omega 3's and having an unbalanced 3-6-9 omega fat ratio can cause all sorts of inflammatory conditions. You need optimal fat levels in order to absorb your fat-soluble vitamins, to aid in recovery (if you workout), and for whatever it is that ails you. Here are the key things you need to look for when picking out an omega-3 supplement and why I am a huge fan of fish oil.

This is a super important subject ... life changing actually because who hasn't had a run-in with fish oil? Should I take it? Should I not? What's a good source? Can you actually ferment it? Does it go rancid? How much should I take? Will it make my breath stink and do I even need it? It shouldn't a...

What's spreading the flu, you ask? Well . . . according to the "data," you're far more likely to spread the flu and get it if you've had a flu shot (which we know doesn't protect you from the flu). This study suggests that vaccinated people with influenza shed the virus at six-fold the rate of non-vaccinated people through passive respiration.

http://m.pnas.org/conte…/early/2018/…/17/1716561115.full.pdf

Why isn't anyone talking about it? Because "this observation, together wi...th recent literature suggesting reduced protection with annual vaccination, would have implications for influenza vaccination recommendations and policies."

Things that make you go, "Hmmmmm."

P.S - You should probably save a copy of this PDF. The link will be unavailable by the end of the day.
