We are very sad and our hearts are broken. Lola was expecting puppies and experienced complications that we did not recognize soon enough. She passed away this morning and we are trying to cope with the loss. Lola was such a sweet and loving part of our family. I just have to believe that she and her and Oscar's puppies went to be with my Ba-chan and Ji-chan (grandparents who got my family our first dachshund, Biscuit, as I was a child) in heaven. She probably knew they would... take the best care of them as a family. Kelli, Mason, Oscar (who was to be the proud father of the litter) and I are just hoping we can get through this difficult time.
The vet tried to save the puppies, but they could not. We had a moment to spend with Lola and the puppies. They looked so cute and would have brought joy to many families and friends.
Thank you all for your likes, comments and love. I shall leave this page as her memorial and maybe add pictures if we feel a need to. As you can expect, I have hundreds of pictures and video on my phone that I never got around to sharing. I managed to get myself together and post this one up, and I know it will be so difficult for us every time I come across a picture in my phone.

Here's another pic for Siblings Day. Above is Molly, my sister, with Marbles the piebald and Honnibell, my niece. I'm in the lower left pic with @Oscar_Wired stretching across the couch. The lower right pic is Molly and Marbles' 5 week old pups!
