Did you know that MKC is now charging for the Residents' Parking permits? One of our residents is organising a petition against this to MKC.

If you would like to sign the petition or can help with the collection of signatures please get in touch with Peter:

Peter Rothery to Loughton Residents' Association - Milton Keynes

Hello fellow Loughton Residents. My name is Peter Rothery and I live in Ebbsgrove. I am appalled by the councils recent decision to charge £25 per car per year... for residents parking permits when it is errant station commuters who look to park in our village for free. I met Liz Gifford the councillor who led the decision to introduce the fee at a Parish Council meeting on Monday and beware, the plan is to increase the levy next year!

I have begun a petition to have this decision overturned. Please contact me to arrange to sign it. We are visiting every house in the controlled parking zone seeking signatures. We hope to get around the village over the course of the next month.

There are also additional fees for your visitors and trades people.

Please lobby the council, our MP Iain Stewart, the M K Citizen, the parish council, and make your views known to the residents association.

Regards

Peter
