This is Lou's Village in 1950. It is from a film by the owner of the Garden Theater, Bud Lima, about Downtown Willow Glen. In those days we were the night life for the area and perhaps you will see some relatives or family friends. Our roots in Willow Glen go back to 1888.

Please consider this project.

I have been an avid fan of space since I was a child. I dreamt of traveling to Mars when I watched Disneyland in the 50s. I remember being fascinated with the smash record Telstar by theTornados in the 60s. That song was the inspiration years later when I decided to create a series of music abou...

Wonder why restaurants are having a hard time around here? In addition to higher food costs and greedy landlords who don't understand the low margins involved, quality staffing is difficult. Read this. That's why we now cater and do festival events only.

Not long after employees of Pasta Pomodoro in Sunnyvale’s Cherry Orchard Shopping Center were notified via text message that the restaurant chain was closing indefinitely, management posted a sign …

Catering needs? Drop us a note if you would like a quote from Lou's. We've got decades of experience and can handle any size event. Complete planning services are available. If it's music you need we have it. Menus, logistics....everything is in our bag of tricks.

Lou's Beach Shack makes it debut at the Santa Clara County Fair August 4-7 at the Christopher Park Stage Bar n Grill. We will be serving Bay Burgers extraordinaire plus Shrimp Rolls and Fish Sandwiches. Make it point to bring the family. The Fair is a great time for all and we're getting better each year.

James Durbin from American Idol, The English Beat plus Brett Young top the bill and a lot more. We have a great variety of food stands for all.

Larry Tate along with Steve Flores were two of the best customers Lou's Village had. They both have passed away recently. They were pals for life and enjoyed it very well. Condolences to the families. Final final guys.

Once again I am making an announcement that is difficult. We are leaving San Pedro Square Market immediately and have plans to continue the Beach Shack as a catering company as well as a feature for festivals and events. Also with my role at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds becoming more involved with the future development of new concepts, time is needed for that project. We will still be available for hire for any sort of event should you have need. Daryle is still the team leader, He has done a great job holding down the fort this past year. Thank you for your support in this past incarnation. Sometimes we really do have nine lives. Please check in occasionally. Our first public production will be at the Santa Clara County Fair August 4-7. See you there neighbor.

Our Daryle Lupretta is becoming a talking head for Super Bowl week at the Beach Shack and everywhere else downtown. Now he's featured in a story from KTVU Channel 2 news.

Thousands of fans and media will be at the SAP Center on February 1 for Super Bowl's official opening night. Banners are popping up around town promoting Super Bowl 50 and South Bay businesses want in.

A mention on KGO TV news about the Super Bowl in San Jose and the Beach Shack. Daryle handles the media like a pro.

Super Bowl 50 is almost here and although most of the major activities will take place in San Francisco, Many business owners in the South Bay expect to see big crowds, especially in San Jose.|By Chris Nguyen ABC7

Downtown SJ will finally be on the map with the Super Bowl events that we have planned. I hope every major building hoists an illegal sign like Oracle. The hills will be green like Tennessee and the air crisp and clear. Hopefully El Nino is not working that week & day. Silicon Valley has never had a major event to show the world what we have in the tech era. I have a good feeling about this.

Lou's Beach Shack at San Pedro Square Market will be ready for the influx of visitors like we've never seen before in SJ. We'll be serving some great new dishes that will be featured throughout the year.

See you soon at the Shack. Tom
