I have been using Lulu since 2007. I'm very pleased with the books that they have published for me. I've also gotten very good feedback from folks who have purc...hased the books they like to covers and my content. It took me a little while to get used to the process but once I got used to it it was easy for me to upload my books and review them to make sure that everything was accurate I'm just glad that they are available for the authors who are self-published. I got my first proof, it was horrible! The cover designers paid so little attention that they put my pseudonym on front, but my real name on back; that could ha...ve been prevented by a single 30-second quality check. Oh, and my interior was BUTCHERED by those idiots. The only thing I asked service reps was to make sure that my book content looked as much like my original Word draft as possible... and these guys did everything but that.

Never EVER had anything less than a perfect experience with Lulu. I have over a dozen books for sale, I publicize and promote them and they sell regularly. I am... doing two more now. For me, this is the only way to go. No hidden fees, no interference. Strictly professional all the way.
I also make sure let people know when Lulu has a sale on books. If you don't check to see the discounts - sometimes up to 30% - then you are missing a valuable sales tool. See More

My work was published for a magazine and the overall quality was amazing however the layout of the magazine due to the site once purchased was horrible. My imag...es were stretched, parts of my models body started on one page ended on the other (when you turned the page,) split images awkwardly, and I was never able to get a hold of customer service for a refund. I spent almost $50.00 for 2 copies of something I am embarrassed to even show off! See More

While there are many steps in the process, each one was guided by an experienced Lulu representative and that was an enormous help to me. My first book, Letter...s from the Skeleton Coast is now on Amazon and anticipate the ebook and wider publication of the printed format within the next few weeks. I received my 5 photo books (3 @250 pages and 2 not far below - all 12x12 inch) ... WOW! I LOVE THEM. I receive so many compliments for the quality of these hu...ge things, it amazes me. I am planning 3 more photo books of the same size, and all of them also 250 pages or just below. I can't wait! The wizard is SUPER! It's so easy to navigate - and it is actually wonderful to see the colourful pages fill (mine are edge to edge colour). Very easy to use, once you understand the process. My complaint is the price of shipping for multiple copies, much too high. However, the rep who is in touch with me is excellent and has "saved" my project with her expert and kind help.

Very easy publishing process, focus on saving the environment by not printing books that never get sold, and a great royalty amount. Distribution to iTunes and Barnes and Noble included with eBooks. Go write something!
