I went with a group of 11 people on 2.12.17 . Our experience was amazing . Our 3 tour guides were pleasant . They did not rush us , and they answered all of our questions no matter how silly they were.... We had one gentleman who is mobile but needs a wheelchair when walking long distances to assist him . As you know this is no small task in a cave with steep uphills . Craig , Chase , and Allison were exceptionally patient with us . Also kudos to Chase it was his 3rd day he was very informative and even offered to assist us with pushing our guy and carrying our chair up the steps . Although we declined it was a very thoughtful gesture . This place is awesome ! See More

Enjoyed the caverns a lot, but the group size is way too large. The tour guide started talking before the entire group was caught up and most people were talking, kids screaming, etc so you couldn't h...ear much unless you were up front. Our tour guide moved very quickly and got upset if you lagged behind to look or take pictures. She was very rushed the entire time. Tour was very scripted. Just wish for the price the tour would be a little longer with less people. See More

Such a gorgeous place!! I loved every bit of it. This is where my boyfriend asked me out and we spent our 1 year Anniversary. We plan to go back to visit it's beauty every year. I just wish others enj...oyed it as much as we do and respected it just as much. Too many people did what they were asked not to, like touching things. Other then that it is absolutly amazing. The tour guides were fantastic with questions and having a good time. See More

Great experience. I first came to the caverns on elementary and junior high field trips. It was amazing then, and now at 65 bringing our five year old grandson, it is still amazing to me. My grandson ...saw all sorts of shapes in the rocks, was amazed, and finally said it seemed like “Atlantis.” Absolutely worth the trip. I’m sure we’ll be back again. See More

What a gorgeous, gorgeous place. We visited yesterday with our family, children and grand children. Everyone loved it. Our guide was very good and could answer the many questions we had. It was we...ll organized and well staffed. So worth the two hour drive from our vacation house. See More

We didn’t tour the caverns, but my daughter and her friend did the adventure rope obstacle, and they LOVED it. James (at ticket counter) and his dad, James (on the course), were the best! They were fr...iendly, funny, and professional. The girls adored James in the course because he talked them through their fears, made them laugh, and even played a game of tag with some of the kids. Super time! I highly recommend. See More

4th time here. I would say it’s a good Experience but not the OMG experience. Like many others, the tour groups should be limited to less than 10 people or have the tour guy wait til everyone catches ...up. Tour guides should be more knowledgeable than reading a book and memorizing what they have been told to say. See More

Beautiful cavern, worth the drive Great scenery for gorgeous pictures. Would recommend to everyone to visit at least once. I would have rated this a 5 star, but our guide was in a hurry, after driving... for an entire day to get here I would have liked to have not felt rushed on the tour. As I wanted pictures of the cavern, and not the tourist group, I was with for my vacation memories. Was a nice tourist group and the staff at the caverns was very friendly. See More

Our tour guide (Jordan) was thorough, however was very offensive when he kept making comments about people taking so many pictures. That’s why we are there. What he has seen many of times, some will s...ee only once. His comments were not appropriate or appreciated. Other than that the cave was awesome See More

I loved it, we needed up there spontaneously and yes it is a bit pricey but for an hour tour it felt worth while. It helped that we had a small group too!

Great experience. Beautifully , well maintained cavern. Brent was an excellent guide; knowledgeable. It’s obviously damp in there but it also got cool very quickly. Be prepared for several steps and a... good amount of walking. Spectacular natural beauty. See More

It was cute. Quaint. Interesting. #thatsAll. —will I go back......

..........[long hard pause]
.............................................probably not.

I had more fun hiking and picking berries along the Appalachian trails. Sorry.

Don’t take my word for it, though! Hey, history and science is awesome within itself. Happy adventures!

The tour group size is way too large. Cannot hear the tour guide whatsoever, she went ahead & we never saw her again until the tour was over. Kids screaming, people talking, very difficult to truly ap...preciate this natural wonder. The tickets are expensive at $27 & I would have expected a better experience. See More

Visited Luray Caverns in 1976.
My daughter was fascinated with the 'Fried Egg'. I have a darling picture of her reaching out to it, with her pigtail down to her ' bottom ' !
This is a trip worth ...making time for if you are in the area.
Would love to go back again some day.

We enjoyed the caverns. It would of been a bit more enjoyable with a smaller group. I recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time and going through the Car & Carriage museum.
