The performances are absolutely brilliant. Jin Ha and Clive Owen are very believable in their respective roles and the show is worth seeing for them. However, as a designer, I was really turned off by... the scenic design of the production. Other reviewers have described it as "clunky" and I agree. I also have extremely mixed feelings about the rewrites. While I understand that it was necessary to make changes in order to bring this 1988 play into the 21st century, I'm not sure that the changes made were for the better. See More

This was such a complex, yet intriguing love story! Both Clive Owen and Jin Ha were phenomenal. I really enjoyed the political undertones throughout the play as well. I am truly happy I was able to ex...perience this broadway show because it was one heck of a rollercoaster ride. See More

Clive Owen and Jin Ha bare their soul and pretty much everything else. Not lavish for a Julie Taymor production but appropriate as to just frame the actor's brilliant performances. The revival is a triumph!!
