I don't get what people see what's so good about this place. $10 cover, dirty, the band is so loud you can't have a conversation, and the drinks are a joke. It costs $5 for a small plastic cup & you'r...e done drinking in 3-4 sips. See More

Best jazz in KC heard here, again and again! ♥
KC is a little Cowtown but in the music we hear,
there's a very BIG Heart here! Kansas City jazz just has the sweetest sounds!...
Still enjoy listening live or KPR around the country!

My escape from reality. Truly an amazing place everytime I make the journey. An accidental find but the best place I could have ever stumbled upon. Everytime welcomed with open arms and smiles not to... mention the true art that resonates from the walls. True history, love, and a breath of pure passion you feel from the artists. Thanks for sharing a little piece of history every time. See More

Music was incredible and I would have given this place four stars if not for the band starting an hour and a half late.

As a Young Man 1314 years of age I visited the music Foundation with Rufus Crawford and LC Speedy Huggins and Gladys Evonne borders. Although each one of these individuals have passed away the music F...oundation and the memories of all these individuals still live on in my heart. The experience is one that I shall never forget. The first two individuals are named were really good mentors, and that's something every young man in this lifetime needs. The last person I mentioned was my sister who passed away May 15th at 4:15 in the morning.. I have attempted to contact the music Foundation to see who would know of these individuals and prayerfully if you receive this text in a timely manner feel free to contact me or anyone else in the family thank you. This place is both historical and magical! It is a community, not an entertainment district. It is so nice to see that it is being preserved so that the history and legacies live on. Now join them a...s we groom and educate our youth to carry the history and legacies into the next century and beyond. Great job MMF! See More

One of the best Sunday evenings ever. My friends and I started out at my house with pozole and margaritas, then finished the evening listening to the most amazing music and poetry!

Absolutely terrible! The guy working the bar kept pressuring me to show him my boobs and when I wouldn't, he ignored my drink request and made me wait extra time. Absolutely disgusting behavior and a disgrace that the bartender ruined my experience here. See More
