No matter how good you are with children, we could all use some biblical instruction and solid skil...ls when it comes to raising and guiding them. And although skills are good, it helps to have some encouragement, with a huge dose of patience, and a big helping of a sense of humor! You'll find all of that with Raise Up a Child!
This series isn't just for parents! Teachers, grandparents, caregivers, small group leaders, camp leaders and more will benefit significantly from this study! Raise Up a Child conveys practical parenting wisdom through four easy-to-remember "compass points" uniquely taught from Luke 15's Prodigal Son story. Contact the church office to register.
It is with very sad hearts that we share with you about a tragedy in Rwanda that has affected one of our new MOPS groups.
Rwanda, in recent months, has experien...ced severe flooding across the country. Last week, one of our Rwanda MOPS groups was meeting and the building they were meeting in was washed away. It is our understanding that five moms have died and 11 moms remain hospitalized, some remain in critical condition. The children were not harmed as they were in a different building. However, there are over 40 children directly impacted by this tragedy.
We can only imagine the heartache this community is experiencing. At MOPS International, it is a priority to build circles of women who love each other like family, because we believe in the transformative potential of relationships and mentoring. We believe the best way to live this out is to rally all of our MOPS moms in prayer for the moms and families affected by this disaster.
MOPS is working closely with the MOPS group leader in Rwanda to support and care for these families. At this time, we are asking for prayer and will not be taking monetary or other types of donations.
"The first days, weeks, months are unimaginable, sure, but just because it starts to get better doesn’t mean it stays better..."
