MPL Street lighting Update # 2
Just to let you know that our application for our community street lighting upgrade was approved by Orange County Board of County Commissioners on March 20, 2018. Thanks to our community manager, Autumn Brin, for representing us at the meeting. The next step in the process is for the County to make arrangement with Duke Energy to get it done. At this time, I have no idea when the installment will take place, but as soon as I know I will pass it ...on to you.
Thanks for your patience, and any contribution that you make to maintain and enhance the beauty and value of our community.
MPL Streetlighting Update
By now each homeowner of MPL community should have received a letter from the Office of the Comptroller, Orange County regarding a March 20th public hearing meeting to amend our existing street lighting resolution. This is in reference to the MSBU Streetlighting Ballot that you have completed in October with an approval of 77% to upgrade our streetlights to accommodate LED bulbs. The annual assessment for the current street lights is $111.15. With th...e improvement that assessment will increase our by $0.85 ( 85 Cents) to $112. We are practically getting the upgrade for a little or no charge to the community. As a property owner you are invited to attend the public hearing, but not require to attend, however, we will have someone to represent the community. I want to thank all the homeowners that voted and I am looking forward to work with you to make MPL a better place to live. Please let me know if you have any questions. Regards, Al
Please Help !!!
We need your help to assist us to uphold the covenant of our community and to maintain and enhance our property value. We need homeowners to volunteer to assist the Chairperson for each of the following committee: Architectural Review Committee (ARC), Dispute Resolution/Fining Committee (DRC) and the Events/Beautification Committee. Without these committees being functional the aesthetic of our community will gradually disappear and our property value will hastily depreciate. If you are interested in volunteering, please respond to this post or contact me by email at email@example.com

MPL Residents: By now, you should have received a ballot from the county comptroller regarding an upgrade to our street lighting. Please vote "YES" on this ballot and return it so we can move forward with the upgrade. The wording in the letter is confusing, but the net increase in our tax bill will only be $0.85 (85 cents) per year.
Roof leak or Roof damage?
If you have roof damage from the storm please let me.
Universal Roof and Contracting is back to work today and I'd be happy to come look and see what we can do to help. PM me or call/text me at (407) 223-5761
It looks like Moss Park Landings did pretty well during the storm. Personally, we ended up with some roof damage. Our roofer is coming out to give an estimate as soon as the curfew is lifted. Since they will be in the neighborhood, I've attached his information for the community.
