Amazing -- I could not recommend this place more. Stephanie Moyerman was incredible and I fully credit her with getting me to an awesome score. Stephanie was attentive and knew how to pace the class s...o that no one felt left behind or bored / like they weren't being challenged. Even though it was a "Live Online" class, Stephanie made herself available outside of the classroom to answer any questions / provide a morale boost whenever we needed it. Thanks to Stephanie and MP, I received a full ride to my dream school! See More

I decided to sign up for a GMAT prep course after speaking with a few friends who tried studying on their own and did not get the score they wanted after two attempts. After taking a course, they beat... their desired score on the first try. I picked Manhattan Prep after doing a trial online class. I was concerned about doing it online because I thought it would be easy to zone out, but the instructors make it very collaborative and engaging. My starting score (before the class) was 580 and my goal was 680-700. After a lot of work, I got it up to 640. After the course I had a post-class consultation where they reviewed my stats. This really helped me tune in to my verbal skills when I thought that math was really my weakness. When I finally took the test, I ended up with a 730! The course completely set me up for success. Manhattan Prep helped me push my score from a 700 to a 740. The content in their books is spot on for the concepts you will need to have mastered in order to get a high score. My instructor Sage Pearc...e-Higgins helped me to focus my studies during the live online course so that my time was well spent improving my abilities rather than just churning through hundreds of practice problems with few gains. I highly recommend Manhattan Prep courses and their materials. See More

I am so thankful for Manhattan Prep. I came from the nonprofit world and I’m also in my early 30’s which means I haven’t practiced math in over 10 years. When I took a practice test I got a 520 and I ...was hoping to just break 600, which seemed like an incredible feat. I had Chris Peckover as my teacher and his energy and positivity towards me encouraged me to to persevere. He’s a genius, has strong EQ (which means he knows how to explain things to his students in a way they can understand) and has terrific energy. I’m pursuing my second masters and so I’ve experienced a lot of teachers. Chris is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He really wants to see his students succeed. I also highly highly recommend the post-exam assessment after you take your first GMAT. They review all your past practice tests plus your actual GMAT to help give you helpful strategies. I took the GMAT twice (620, 670). I just received my acceptance letter into the school of my choice, USC! So thankful to Manhattan Prep and Chris Peckover. See More

Manhattan Prep knows what they are doing. Their teachers are experienced and will undoubtedly help you improve your score. Beyond some essential strategies for approaching timing and specific question... types, the most valuable thing this class will teach you is how to study for the test. The test is overwhelming enough, so for me, having a class that helped me focus my study time and energy was invaluable. My only gripe is that I wish the class was more affordable so as not to disadvantage those who can't dish out ~$1,500 in addition to the cost of actually taking the test. It would also be great if they had a program to sell back the books from the class, assuming they are in good condition. See More

Logan Thompson - Excellent

I took the 9-week summer course, led by Logan Thompson, and was extremely happy I did. Logan's sense of humor and personality made the class fun rather than tedious, and I ...always looked forward to our sessions. Perhaps more importantly, Logan was instrumental in improving my understanding - and therefore my score - over the course of the class. He consistently emphasized finding multiple paths to a solution, and taught us tools to reach the correct answer when we were otherwise stumped. From the beginning of the class to the end, I was able to improve my score from a 620 to a 770, which I wouldn't have been able to do without Logan. See More

I had quite a long journey with the GMAT, which spanned over the period of about a year and a half. Initially, I took the GRE, and only gave myself about 5 weeks to study for the exam. I reached out... to Manhattan Prep to schedule some tutoring time since I was under the gun and I wanted to maximize my learning time. My expectations were far exceeded with Chris Berman. Not only does he know the test inside and out, but after reviewing my strengths and weaknesses he quickly asserted that I should consider taking the GMAT instead of the GRE. I took a practice test cold and scored slightly above what I was scoring on the GRE practice tests, which I was familiar with. Fast forward to a year later, I went to Chris again before taking the GMAT for the second time. The first time I took it, nerves got to me. Chris was so nice as to have an extensive email conversation with me after taking the exam to go over my scores and give me his thoughts, even though I hadn't gone to him in over a year.

Knowing I was taking the exam again, I scheduled more time with Chris. I knew going to him to hone in on my weaknesses would give me confidence in an of itself, as well as increase my skill level on those question types I struggled with. I was again under the gun time-wise, and he was great in working with my schedule and making time for me. His ability to laser in on what each question type is really simplifies what you're looking for when you get each question. This helped me immensely with the critical reasoning, which I sometimes went around in circles with on the hard question types. More than this, Chris has a way of imparting wisdom in metaphors that stick with you. He noted my weaknesses and told me a few anecdotes and sayings that I literally repeated in my head on test day and made the difference between me staying on track time-wise and taking too long on certain questions (I tend to want to double/triple check that I have a question right, which you cannot do on the GMAT). Overall, it's not only Chris' ability to hone in on what you're weak in, but also his outlook on the test and his knowledge on strategy that really makes him invaluable. The private tutoring is an investment, but I couldn't have been happier with it. My initial practice test was a 620, the first exam I got a 640 (nerves) then I got a 700 the second time, which was my minimum goal score. If I had more time before applications, I would take it one more time to try to get in the 730 realm, but I'm happy to have gotten in my goal range, and Chris was crucial in getting me there. Go with him!

I was very lucky to have studied with Keith from Chicago. I initially met Keith through the Manhattan GMAT class pack in which he was the instructor, and later took a few private classes with him to i...mprove my understanding.

Overall, Keith is a very efficient and to-the-point instructor. I was quite confident in math but was making unnecessary mistakes so Keith pinpointed it to exactly where it was and provided CUSTOMIZED study plans for me based on my goal and schedule. As for verbal, he was instrumental in teaching me how to read and answer the question.

My first practice test was in the 600, and with the help of Keith and many hours of hard work, I increased a score of 100+. I would highly recommend Keith to any student who would like to learn and achieve a good score.

Manhattan GMAT also offers one of the best online platforms. It syncs up with the book and the explanations really helped me understand why an answer was right, and better yet, why other answers were wrong. In addition, you can use the report feature to see your overall performance and area of improvement. I would recommend taking a GMAT course with Keith through Manhattan. Thank you Keith!

After struggling with the GMAT for several months, I finally convinced myself to look for a tutor. I had already done a lot of independent studying with the Manhattan Prep materials which were great f...or getting me acquainted with the test structure and reviewing basic concepts, but I just didn’t feel like I was making the progress I needed to on my own. I was really hesitant at first to seek out a tutor because 1) I had never worked with a tutor before for anything and 2) half of my battle with the GMAT was pure anxiety over how important this test was for getting into business school on top of the normal test anxiety I was used to. I knew a tutor might help me to understand the test better, but I wasn’t sure they’d be able to do much beyond that.

I ended up meeting with Dan Bartz. Dan was AWESOME. Not only did he help me understand the structure of the test and the value of the different strategies that Manhattan Prep highlights, but he was also able to help me understand when and how to use them based on my personal strengths and weaknesses. He was incredibly patient and reassuring throughout the whole process and gave me strategies for dealing with my test anxiety. He also developed a really detailed and efficient study plan to help me do focused studying that fit in with my work schedule and more importantly, helped me to develop good test habits. He completely reengineered my study approach and within a few weeks things just finally started to click. I only met with him twice and it made a HUGE difference. I can’t say enough good things about this experience. Ended up only having to take the official test once. Beat my target score - Highly recommend.

Manhattan GMAT is really worth the money! I took an in-person course with Ryan Jacobs, and the overall quality of the class far surpassed my expectations. If you make full use of the homework, subject... guides, practice tests, and online "Interact Lessons", you will see significant improvement in your scores (260 points from my first practice test, 100 points from my second practice test)! Manhattan Prep is a great GMAT prep program. I was working full time in a busy job that was travel intensive...the online accelerated course was wonderful. It fit into my busy schedule, and really hel...ped me to improve my score. I supplemented the course with a few private tutoring sessions with Logan Thompson...he was extremely patient with me and extremely thorough in his explanations. Logan helped me improve my over all score by 100 points, and boost my verbal score to the 98th percentile. Logan was a life saver! I am now applying to schools that were initially out of my reach. Thanks Manhattan Prep! See More

I had an excellence experience with Manhattan Prep. Manhattan Prep provides a complete package of study material (including practice exams and subject-specific books), ideal for people aiming to reach... a top ten percentile score. My instructor, Matthew Brandon, kept the class engaged and had a superb grasp on the content. I left each class excited to practice the skills I learned and discover how much my performance had improved. In the end, it most certainly paid off, as I achieved a score of 760 (Q50, V42), which was well above what I was targeting. See More

Logan is a great teacher! He helped me improve my score from a 570 to a 710. Before reaching out to Logan for private tutoring, I had studied from the Manhattan books. However, it was Logan who helped... me understand how to tackle problems, and how to avoid common GMAT traps. He was very encouraging through the entire process, always believing in me. He was very accessible, and would always respond to my emails. After our tutoring sessions were over, he would follow-up with me, making sure I was making good progress. I would really recommend Logan! See More

I recently completed my Manhattan Prep Live GMAT Course with Pedro Ledesma and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking to score 700+. Manhattan Prep’s value proposition is that they combine amazing i...n-person teaching with by far the most useful and helpful online trove of materials. Furthermore, the structured nature of their curriculum is incredibly helpful in breaking up the daunting task of studying for the test into manageable pieces. I could not be happier with my experience and my results, and with the increasingly competitive nature of MBA admissions, I highly encourage any prospective MBA candidates to use Manhattan Prep to attain the best GMAT score possible. When I first started my GMAT journey, I assumed it wouldn’t be that difficult. I had always been a strong student…this will be easy. Much to my surprise, my initial score on a practice exam was abysma...l (which, I was told, is not uncommon). I wanted to apply to a top ten school, and my mind was set on a 700+, so, it was time for tutoring. I decided to take the Manhattan GMAT Boot camp as well as use Reed Arnold as a private tutor. The resources and instruction at Manhattan are truly incredible. Be aware, that your score will not jump without commitment, but each teacher I worked with was patient and supportive along the way. The boot camp is a bit of a firehose, but both Laurel and Dhivya made a somewhat daunting two weeks more enjoyable. Both instructors were personable and kind, and most importantly, spent a tremendous amount of time assisting each student with developing the correct INDIVIDUALIZED strategy for studying, focusing on specific topics to help boost our scores. This test is not a “one size fits all approach”, and they really help you to recognize this. Their instruction was thorough and clear, and if you are working with a limited amount of time to study – WITH FOCUS – it is the best way to learn all of the material on the test.

Reed deserves a medal for putting up with my ebbs and flows of commitment over the past few months. He was attentive and supportive, and extremely responsive to all questions and needs along the way. His feedback was direct (and appreciated!) – he certainly didn’t sugar coat it, but it really pushed me to get to where I needed to be. His one-on-one instruction was very clear – he was articulate in explaining difficult topics to me, and even I claimed I understood something, he’d keep pushing with more difficult problems until I had mastered a concept. With his support, I developed a clear and manageable strategy for conquering the test – and wound up scoring over 700 on my first try. AND, even when I decided to push it even further to try to boost my score a bit more, he was extremely accommodating and continued to support me along the way. This is not to say that everyone who enrolls will miraculously jump over 150 points – as he explained – it takes a very methodical approach. Constant review, repetition and practice is key.

A+ overall. I highly, highly recommend to anyone looking to take the GMAT. It was worth the investment, and I am far more confident in applying to school.

I completed a 9 week course with Manhattan Prep in April and am very happy with the results! During the length of the course, we went from an overview of each section to detailed strategies to break d...own and attack each question type. Further we learned how to develop and implement a strategy to use on test day, which helped me to relax and perform at my best on the quant section.

I found both the in-person courses (where you are able to ask your instructors questions, get their in person advice on content, and work through exercises to improve your skills) and the pre-recorded video lessons (focused on teaching MPrep's strategies for each question type) to make a huge difference for me. The only complaint I have is the technology for the in person class, as it feels a bit outdated and I had trouble getting my microphone to function properly for the first few classes.

Overall I would highly recommend the course to anyone needing a high score for top schools, as they truly teach content and strategies that you can't track down on your own and that make a huge difference on test day!

Manhattan prep is hands down the best GMAT preparation program out there. I took a full course because I knew I needed the guidance and the added discipline. What surprised me was the majority of the ...value of the paid course came after the course ended! I had ongoing support from my course teacher, Josh Yardley, as well as a post-course assessment and post-exam assessment with Stacey Koprince. All these tools on top of the books, the course, and the online materials are what make Manhattan stand out above the rest. To give you some perspective, I probably would have plateaued around a 680 studying by myself. I ended up scoring a 740 on my 2nd try... See More

I did both the accelerated 4-week course and private tutoring to get ready for my GMAT, and they both helped me in different ways. The full course really helped me dive into the material and see the r...ange of what I was supposed to know, but I gave myself too short a timeline and was frankly not able to study as much as I needed to get that glimmering 700 I was hoping for. Before the course, I took one practice test and scored an alarming 540- after, I was consistently scoring 650 but still needed to work on my quant. I did private tutoring with Dan Patinkin and it was so great. Dan explained things in new ways and was really patient with me, a total non-quant person. We did tutoring for about 2 months, and when I finally retook the test, I scored a 710!! (V44, Q42). It was a great experience and I highly recommend anyone who is stronger in one area over the other to do the private tutoring as it is so personalized. Thank you Dan! See More
