Our favorite part of 2019? Watching the NRA’s meltdown 😎 1️⃣ NRA-funded politicians were voted out in Virginia, their home state! We flipped the VA legislature for the first time in two decades, and gun control was the top issue among voters. 2️⃣ The Senate’s investigation into the NRA revealed how the organization colluded with Russian spies to interfere in the 2016 election. Not exactly patriotic. 3️⃣ The NRA was fired by its own PR firm of 40 years and NRATV, their main mouthpiece for hate-filled conspiracy theories, shut down. 4️⃣ Our letter helped prompt the New York Attorney General to look into the NRA’s tax-exempt status. If you can afford to pay executives millions and buy fancy mansions, you can pay taxes. 5️⃣ The families of Sandy Hook will finally get their day in court after the gun lobby spent years trying to deny them justice. The NRA is finally being held accountable for their irresponsible and deadly crusade to make guns flood our communities… and we’re only getting started.
