What a great little treasure in the SF Bay! I was looking for daytime activities while my wife was in a conference in SF and when I found the museum I knew I had to visit. I was there on a Friday and was fortunate enough to be given a comprehensive and informative tour by Joe Breeze himself! Though small, the museum is chock full of bicycle history and Joe sure knows his bikes. I had no idea the impact the bicycle had on society (before the automobile) and as a mountain biker it was wonderful learning the history of the sport from one of the forefathers. If you are into bikes or history or both make sure you take a short day trip and visit the Museum. Thanks Joe for the wonderful tour! See More

I went to the museum’s wildflower presentation and saw pictures of the mountain biking pioneers. I learned so much about wildflowers in marin from experts and the history of mountain biking. There is ...a large collection of bicycles. See More

I was blessed to be afforded the opportunity to cross the country to step foot on the hallowed ground of where the world was offered the sport of mountain biking. Even though they recognized that th...ere were factions of off road riders across the country, they celebrated the fact that it became noticed locally in Marin county and created a place to share the success in which the sport has grown and the innovations that came from the process. I had the honor of having Joe Breeze give the tour. Great man and great designer and has been a hero of mine since learni g of the story. Truly a special moment for me. See More

A great history of bikes from the 1800's through the advent of mountain biking- co-owned by some of the originals (Joe Breeze, Otis Guy, Mark vendetti, etc).
I had a great time here! For anyone intere...sted in bikes, mechanical things, or mountain biking specifically, this is a great stop. I spent three hours (most would likely spend 1-2) going through the exhibits, reading, looking at the changes in technology, talking to other attendees and the owners, and seeing many things I recognized from my history mountain biking in the nineties.
This is a neat place, worth a visit.

Board members are hall of famers that know extensive knowledge of bikes. Loved seeing mountain biking's evolution with fine examples of bikes. Can't wait to visit there again the next time I'm in town.
