A submarine launched Trident missile rises over Death Valley at Badwater, with the Milky Way in the background. Yes Badwater is flooded but not deep enough for a sub, the launch was from off the coast. It was quite a surprise to look up and see the sky lit like this!

Hiking through Anzo-Borrego came across a group of three Bighorn Sheep...and kicked myself for only having my wide angle lens with me. So as quickly as possible and ran the mile to the car and back returning with the longer glass. They were very well behaved sheep though and kindly stuck around and even posed nicely as a group!
