The Maynard Democratic Town Committee is holding its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, May 17th from 7:00-8:30 PM at the Maynard Public Library.
We will have as our guest, Donna Patalano, a candidate for Middlesex District Attorney who will present to the group her positions, reasons for running, and be able to answer questions. She will be speaking about 7:45 and prior to that, we will have some regular business and updates.
Hope to see you on Thursday the 17th!
The Maynard Democratic Town Committee will meet at 7:00 PM this coming Tuesday, April 10. In the Roosevelt Room at Maynard Public Library.
7:00 Meeting with representatives of State Senator Jamie Eldridge’s campaign staff. We’ll hear how the start-up efforts have been going and where the campaign could use our help. Jamie has a well-financed Republican opponent this year—and his re-election is vital!...
7:20 “After the Caucus.” Lou Ann Cutaia, Secretary of our DTC, will explain what happens next; what the delegates’ responsibilities are; how the convention is organized; what happens during and immediately after the big show.
7:40 “The Future of Healthcare” Kimberley Connors, chair of the healthcare panel of Three Rivers Affinity Groups (TRAG), will detail the push for single payer health care in Massachusetts. She’ll explain how we have the chance, yet again, to take the lead in healthcare reform. Seriously important, seriously informative, and not incidentally, seriously entertaining !
Please join us, even if you haven’t been to a meeting in a while!

A dynamic and successful Democratic Caucus here in Maynard this afternoon. Thanks to the voters and the Maynard DTC Co-Chairs, Sara Hartman and Andrew Snyder.
Oh and thanks to the many candidates for our US Representative coming to speak with us along with a whole host of volunteers and staffers for various candidates gathering nomination signatures.
We Dems are READY!
Just a reminder that Saturday is our Caucus to elect delegates and alternates for the June convention and followed by (after a 10 minute break), our DTC meeting. We expect that there may be a number of candidates who accept our offer to stay for our meeting to speak to the group.
Representative Kate Hogan's St. Patrick’s Day Celebration for the Assabet Valley Boys and Girls Club:
Friday, March 16th at the Maynard Golf Course from 5:30-7:30 PM.
Admission is free. Donations appreciated....
These annual events have raised over $30,000 - this year’s goal is $10,000 - money goes toward programs that support children as well as scholarships to enable kids to attend programs they could not otherwise afford. Parents pay $40 per child for a membership for the Club yet it costs the Club about $800 per year to support the programs for each child.
There is also a Boys & Girls Club Annual Road Race on Saturday, March 17th at 11 AM]
The event will feature appetizers, a cash bar, and music and entertainment from Tom O’Carroll, Irish Balladeer.
On Wednesday Feb. 28th at 9:30 AM at the Boston Bean in Maynard, candidate Rufus Gifford will be coming to have coffee with undecided voters for the 3rd Congressional District, to introduce himself and answer questions. Anyone who is free at that time is welcome to come and meet Mr. Gifford, and especially those who did not have an opportunity to attend the Candidate Forum held in Hudson.
Hope to see you there!

Here is a video of the 3rd Congressional District Democratic Candidate Forum in Hudson last night. We are so luck to have had the chance to hear from the Democrats running to represent us in DC. Thanks to the organizers.
Thank you to the Hudson Democratic Town Committee and Marlborough Democratic Town Committee for the informative and spirited panel discussion with 13 candidates for the 3rd Congressional District Representative seat. The event was a huge success with standing room only crowds.
