Staff Sgt. De Alencar, a special... forces operator with 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, joined the Army in 2009 and graduated from the Special Forces Qualification Course in 2016. He is survived by his wife and five children.

Durakovich was assigned to Company G, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division during the Korean War. While establishing a defensive position in Pongmyong-ni east of Kuni-ri, North Korea, Durakovich’s element was overwhelmed by the Chinese People’s Volunteer Forces (CPVF) and he was reported missing on November 28, 1950. On November 23, 2016 the Department of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced that Durakovich’s body has been recovered.
