Just wanted to put up a reminder before everyone runs off for the holidays. January 7 will not have a Forge Game Day at Midsouth Hobbies. Instead, we will be running 2 days of gaming at Shadowcon XXI at the Clarion in West Memphis. Everything stats on Friday January 6, and goes into the night on Saturday January 7. All FORGE games are up on Warhorn. Start reserving your spots. The earlier we know what is getting signed up for, the better chance we have to adjust if we need to schedule an extra table of something.

Lots of news to go over.

1) No FORGE GAME DAY on 11/19. Instead, please join us at the Memphis Comic and Fantasy Convention (http://memphiscfc.com). We'll be running games starting Friday 11/18 starting at 5pm, all day Saturday 11/19, and a final session the morning of Sunday 11/20. We'll be focusing on evergreens and the full set of goblin scenarios. It's a great time to start new characters and get a lot of opportunities to play them.

2) It's Election Time again. We ne...ed nominations for the following offices: President (Hammer), Vice-President (Warlord),
Secretary (Oracle), Treasurer (Cutpurse). We'd like to close out nominations in November to vote in December.

3) We haven't even finished with MCFC yet, but it's already time to get ready for ShadowCon on January 6-7. We already have a draft schedule of 22 slots of PFS games, but we need volunteers who are interested in running non-PFS games. Please reach out to any of the current officers if you are interested. We'll put a call out for PFS GM's once the schedule is finalized.

With GenCon on the books, Pathfinder Season 8, the year of the stolen storm, has begun. The first season 8 scenarios are already on the schedule.

In addition, we will be revisiting season 5, the year of the demon, with the full set of scenarios from that season being added to the schedule. There are already a number of 1-5 and 3-7 tier scenarios up with many more to come, so anyone who missed that season can start new demon hunters knowing they will have plenty of content... options.

For those looking for evergreen play to start new characters, we will continue to work in level 1 scenarios and modules. Thornkeep level 1 is coming up this fall. It's a challenging module (3 xp, 6-8 hours of play) that can be played over and over.

Looking a bit further out, Con season is approaching. FORGE will have a presence at 3 local conventions over the next 8 months. Watch for further announcements.

Memphis Comic and Fantasy Convention (http://memphiscfc.com/) - November 18-20 at the Hilton.

ShadowCon XXI - (http://shadowcon.org) - January 6-7 at the Clarion West Memphis.

MidSouthCon 35 - (http://www.midsouthcon.org/) - March 24-26 at the Hilton.

Details and l are still in the works, but it looks like FORGE will have an official presence at the Memphis Comic and Fantasy Convention in November this year. We plan to have Pathfinder and other games over 3 days of the convention. This will be our first time with this convention, and are looking forward to a great weekend of gaming.

The PFS schedule is up through the end of June. Please let us know if there is anything people would like to see more or less of. We also need to figure out if there is interest in some high level modules. There are level 12-15 adventures being released over the next couple months. Only want to get them on the schedule if there is interest.

Just a reminder. There will be no FORGE Game Day this Saturday. Instead, please join us for 3 days of gaming out at MidSouthCon. https://warhorn.net/events/midsouthcon-34-forge-pfs.

We'll be back to our normal FGD schedule at Midsouth Hobbies and Games on April 2, with Pathfinder, World of Darkness, and Shadowrun on the schedule.

With Midsouth Comics putting in an RC track and with an independent D&D group scheduling their game over the top of our long standing Forge Game Day, tables have become a real issue on game days. I'd like to get suggestions and opinions on any solutions that might help alleviate the situation. The last two game days have been very problematic for getting people seated during the early session especially.

Wanted to let everyone know about a book bundle deal on Pathfinder books going on today.

Signups have been going this week for the FORGE and PFS schedules at MidSouthCon. Early signups have two advantages. 1) You can get in on the tables you want before they fill up.
2) It lets us know if we need to add more tables during any slots.
We have reserve slots we'll add to the schedule if things are filling.

Also, don't hesitate to waitlist games that are full early on. That's an indicator that we should add a second slot of something that is already on the sc...hedule. We might be doing just that with one game already.

Still lots of room at PFS tables for Forge this weekend. 2 "evergreen" scenarios for low level characters, so you can play them again, even if you have played them before. Consortium Compact (new release) and Wounded Wisp are both build for level 1 characters (and can be played at level 2 as well.)

The early slot also has a high level new release with Ancient's Anguish (level 7-11) and the late slot has an old mid-level favorite with Sewer Dragon's of Absalom (which is als...o great in preparing for True Dragons of Absalom at ShadowCon.)

Speaking of ShadowCon, January 8 and 9 are just about 3 weeks out. Make sure to sign up to guarantee you slots at tables.

Just a reminder, Jeff Greene will be running The Ruby Phoenix Tournament at the next Forge Game Day on 12/5. Not only is this one of the few opportunities in PFS to get to play your 12th level character, it's also a great way to help get your 10th or 11th level character up to 12 if you plan to do other things with the character at "retirement". It's a great adventure with great roleplaying opportunities and enjoyable combats. It's unlikely we'll this module at game days again for a long time, so grab a slot while you can.

If lower level adventures, or perhaps some world of darkness better suits you, those are on the schedule too. Only 2 Forge Game Days left in 2015. Let's close out the year with a bang!

Still plenty of room at tables for this weekend's FORGE event at Midsouth Hobbies. https://warhorn.net/…/memphis-forge-gam…/schedule/2015/11/21

On the PFS side, we are running 0-06 Blackwater in CORE along with the 7-09 Blackros Connection, a season 7 scenario. In the late slot, we have another season 7 in 7-05 School of Spirits, which just happens to be the sequel to Blackwater, along with an older high level scenario in 1-32 Drow of the Darkland Pyramid.

Outside PFS Stars... without numbers is running in the early slot, and NWOD is running in the later slot, and both tables look to be popular, so try to sign up as early as you can.

Looking forward:
December PFS is on the schedule including a double session for a 10th to 12th level module with The Ruby Phoenix Tournament. Wanting to play a "retired" 12th level character that has been collecting dust? Need one more level to get up to 12 for an Eyes of Ten Run? This one might be the scenario for you.

Also look for Shadowcon in early January.
https://warhorn.net/events/shadowcon-xx-forge
GM slots are filling fast, and player slots are sure to follow close behind that. If we see enough signups early, we may be able to add more tables, so please let us know if that is needed by signing up early.
