It's time to introduce our May Member of the Month, LaJuan Pringle! Find out the book he's currently reading, the show he's binge watching, and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library program he thinks should be "replicated far and wide."

Ten questions with LaJuan Pringle, our May Member of the Month. Pringle is an at-large member of MLA, and Branch Manager at the West Boulevard Branch of Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. He has worked at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library for 19 years.
1) Where are you from originally? Flint, MI
2) What made you join MLA? My supervisor, Chris Bates, encouraged me to attend a meeting. He knew I was very active with ALA. He encouraged me to consider doing association work at the local level. It was a great idea. I have really enjoyed my time on this board.

Join ReadDavidson for its 2018 book discussion of News of the World. Dr. Carol Higham, professor of history at UNC-Charlotte and a Davidson resident, will lead a book discussion of News of the World. She’ll provide a historical perspective of what activity was transpiring in that part of the country with Native Americans and the German immigrant population, post-Civil War.

Thanks to sponsorship from Davidson Learns, drinks and food will be served. This event is free and open to the public. The more the merrier!
