Metropolitan Congregation Newsletter: week commencing 18th February 2018 - --- Sunday worship --- Songs this week --- TransForum Manchester meeting in our church (24 Feb) --- Membership preparation --- Lesbian Visibility Survey --- Lent and Holy Week 2018.

- serving and celebrating the LGBT communities of Manchester and the North West

It was a great privilege to welcome 13 people to our membership preparation session this afternoon and to hear some of the experiences which have brought people into our church family and to the point where they are considering a formal commitment to our church.

Between now and the baptism and admission service scheduled for 22nd April, we will support all of them with our love and prayers as they respond to God's call to be here with us at this stage on their journey of faith.

Thank you to Alan Poolton for leading the session, to Walt for helping with the practicalities of the day, and to Kevin, Michael, Adelodun, Angel, Ailsa, Zenlita, Cat, Jean Marc, Alexis (Jagouar), Ruth, Fabrice (BlackSkin), Ive, and Gloria (Glosha) for responding to the call to belong.

I had a very nice time for my first visit and I received a very warm welcome from all present. My friend (Peter) arrived later but in time for the service and he was equally impressed. As two gay men ...who want to be themselves in church it was a very refreshing change from other churches - especially for Peter who cannot be 'out' at his home church. We both hope to visit again very soon. Thank you to all. See More

Devine words of inspiration made relative to our real life, here and now, struggles, this describes Bishop Marshall McGill's ministry style and method of teaching. He delivers the word in a way that i...s healing for the spirit as well as the psyche. See More
