I enjoyed carnival this year. This is my second time coming. When arriving parking was a little confusing and we spent about a little over an hour in the car. Once we arrive everything went pretty Purchase my ticket at the door and that went pretty quick. Once inside everything went well. It would be nice if the food vendors could put a sign out when they run out certain food on their menu. I waited 20 min in line only for them to tell me they ran out of food item I wanted. The concert was awesome it was such a sweet surprise to see Wyclef and Rupee. All the other artist had such great energy. I was dancing almost all night. Last suggestion leave early, we missed the fight someone reported but there were no issues leaving and overall had a great time. We left an hour before it ended. See More

This was my third time enjoying the experience of Miami carnival with family and friends. We love it, however, we do have a few "complaints."

First, there needs to be more of a seating/viewing area it used to be, on both sides of the road. We enjoyed being able to sit and actually see the bands on stage. Yesterday we had to watch the bands through a fence before they got to the stage, and couldn't enjoy the presentation for the judges.

Second, as hot as it was yesterday, the food vendors weren't selling water. They should have water!

Third, it took way too long for the first band to come in the park. It was almost 4pm when the first band arrived. That is ridiculous!

The road experience is terrible especially for 1st time masqueraders. The road is wayyyyyy too narrow especially for the larger bands. Costumes get mashed up very early and there is no room to dance. ...The trucks leave a lot of space on 1 side which I underatand is due to emergency vehicles but given the size of the bands safety for masqueraders especially with the intense heat should also be a concern. Either free up some space or find another route. With growth comes change. Other than that Miamk carnival is vibes! See More

I played mas and my experience was just ok. I hated the long walks. The people giving rides on the golf carts were rude and we had to end up walking to the gate. There weren't enough shuttle buses eit...her. I think the same one kept coming back. There needs to be clearer directions to the entrance gate for people playing mas. The parade never starts on time. I think the start time should be moved to like 1pm. Then we can at least get some rest from all the partying the days before. The parade route is a joke. It's way too narrow and I hate that the people can't watch us. I used to love interacting with the crowd (with the exception of the stormers). See More

I never miss a miami carnival since from 1994 I love it but the parking is horrible at the fair even though there's shuttle service for masqueraders they still have a long way to walk after getting of...f the shuttle. There should be a masqueraders parking next to where the band's park. The cops directing traffic makes it worse like an hour wait to get into the park even for the masqueraders they don't let them pass. See More

I really enjoyed myself. This was my third year. I’m definitely coming back. I will say that as far as buses for masqueraders, either more buses or bigger ones so it’s not such a longer wait. However,... I’m greatful that they did use buses this time cause that’s a long walk. The experience is always a feet burning, body aching, awesome experience every time I go lol. Speaking As an Honorary Islander, Miami carnival rocks. Had two carnival virgins who participated and as far as I know, they will be coming back. Two thumbs up to the committee.. See More

My band had no rum on the truck, halfway through the route, 3 of the 4 trucks in my band stopped playing music. the truck route was very slow, we were standstill for large periods of time and then had... the trucks race through after. The truck route was very narrow barely allowing space for revellers to dance and have fun. There were gates which caused bottle necks and almost created a stampede. There was no security, stormers were moving freely through the crowd and were only removed before crossing the stage. See More

Amazing fun I had such a good time jumping in carnival for the first time. Popped my cherry 🍒 yes it was hot & long but so what , the trucks could of moved faster since we were in the parade we really... felt the slow down I think tht had a lot to do with late arrivals tho, but we were in that joint.
Mascots masqueraders. Yellow pink & black 🙌🏽

I loved the concert. The street parade sucked. Glad I don't play mas anymore. But the reason why I give 3 stars is because I sent a facebook message and an Instagram message to Miami Broward One Carni...val and up to now, they haven't replied back and this was 2 weeks ago. Then they put up a video of the group that I wanted to know the name of and I replied to them on Instagram and they still didn't reply back to me. What makes it worst is that on their website; it says that they usual reply within hours. LIARS!!!. I also messaged them last year and they never responded back either. I eventually found out the name of the group that I wanted to know, but it took a lot of research on my part when Miami Broward One Carnival could have saved me the trouble and told me the group's name. Carnival good, Carnival responders--horrible. See More

My first time!! I had been looking forward to coming for many years since it falls on my birthday Oct 6th Iam from New York. It was super hot . I agree with some other comments with regards to the la...te 4pm start of the bands and how difficult it was to view them. Perhaps the organizers could be more clear about the scheduled activities (I was under the impression for a 11am start) Thankyou for the free off site parking and bus shuttles! However it was printed you could get transportation up intil 12am the last bus returned at 11pm . I will be back next year ..better prepared Thankyou See More

I have been a masquerader and spectator, so having been on both sides, this time I decided to go VIP. Entry into the park (excellent), booth for goodie bags and meal and drink tickets (excellent), tr...ansport from booth to VIP seating (fair), refreshments and food (excellent), seating area (minus 0). I paid $100 for this experience and could not get a seat, the more mature people (I am 52) took seats and did not move, people holding seats for others that had not arrived yet. We tried to make the best of it, by trying to stand at the fence, as we were trying to record the bands, but was met with great hostility by a staff member, who kept insisting that we can’t stand there because we were blocking people. We spent $300 for VIP to stand all day, except to eat, and still could not enjoy ourselves, because we were *blocking the people in VIP (go figure). I would appreciate someone from BMOC to respond to this message please. We did everything we were supposed to do, but even still we had complaints. I won’t even speak on the exit out of the fairgrounds (which I can only explain by throwing my hands in the air and smh). Thank you and I will await your response. See More

Had a good time, met a lot of new people and the energy was on level 100! However, as it was stated by a few others, it took waaaaaaaaayyyy too long to start. I've done several carnivals around the na...tion and this one was the longest starting parades I've done. Crazy! But, I'll be back next year. See More

LOVE LOVE LOVE Miami Broward Carnival!!! This is the one thing I look forward to every year. To see the Mas bands and Masqueraders in all of their splendor and exuberance, the food, the concert, the c...ulture is all awe inspiring and amazing! I started off as just an attendee years ago, and said I had to be on the frontline of the revelry. This was my 8th time playing Mas and haven't gone back to the sidelines since! Great fun for families and friends See More
