We are back from DC and inspired for this year.
"Thank you to all of the organizers and activists who traveled to DC today to join the hundreds of thousands of people whose enthusiasm and spirit will make a valuable difference in the years to come. The Federal Action Network could not have made this trip possible without the incredible work of our MCDO staff, thank you for safely getting two buses to DC and back. I look forward to more actions organized by this enthusiastic group." - Chairman Kevin P. McCabe

FAN will also spearhead volunteer efforts across the state that will include volunteer phone banks and canvassing opportunities for Middlesex County residents to increase awareness of federal elections, promote civic engagement throughout the co...unty, while working to elect more Democrats on the federal level in 2018 and 2020 in neighboring counties.
For its kickoff event, FAN will be sending a bus to Washington, DC on Saturday, March 24, to participate in the #marchforourlivesdc rally. We are encouraging individuals interested in participating with FAN at the march to contact us at 732-906-3680 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
“The group will encourage ‘days of action’ with key constituency groups in nearby counties to elect Democrats in congressional districts currently represented by Republican members,” said Middlesex County Chairman Kevin McCabe.
“It has never been more important that we come together and organize to fight for our shared progressive values and against President Trump’s destructive policies,” said Congressman Frank Pallone Jr.
“This is a time in our American politics unlike any other. It is a time of resistance and persistence. It is a time when our engagement is critical in the protection of our democratic principles and values. I applaud the Middlesex County Democrats and their vision to expand opportunities for citizens' civic duties,” said FAN Co-Chair Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman.
UPDATE: The bus will be leaving the MCDO at 6:30am!
“We stand with children across Middlesex County, our state and our nation who are taking action today to stem the epidemic of gun violence plaguing our schools and communities.”
- Chairman Kevin P. McCabe
The Middlesex County Democratic Organization endorsed Robert Menendez for Senate, Representatives Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-6) and Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), Freeholder Director Ronald Rios and Freeholder Shanti Narra for the Board of Chosen Freeholders. Over 300 committee people came out to participate in the convention yesterday.
“From Washington to New Brunswick, our elected officials have fought time and again for the values we hold dear as Democrats,” said Middlesex D...emocratic Organization Chairman Kevin McCabe. “Senator Menendez and Reps. Pallone and Watson Coleman are leading the fight on behalf of our families in Washington, standing up to the misguided policies of the Trump administration and working every day to deliver for New Jersey. Freeholder Director Rios and Freeholder Narra are working just as hard to provide fiscally responsible county government that puts working middle-class families first.”
McCabe noted that Middlesex Democrats made tremendous gains in 2017, helping to elect Assemblyman Craig Coughlin of Woodbridge as the Speaker of the General Assembly, electing five new council members in towns across the county and helping to elect Roy Frieman to the General Assembly in order to increase their delegation in Trenton.
Despite yesterday's weather, the Middlesex County Democratic Organization will still be hosting its annual convention tonight! Convention will be held at the West Hall of the Middlesex County College, 2600 Woodbridge Ave, Edison NJ. Doors open at 6 pm. Contact our office if you have any questions, (732) 906-3680.
Join us for the annual MCDO Social Committee Trivia Night with host, Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac. There will be prizes for the first placed team, and refreshments will be provided.
