As it stands this evening, we are still planning on having the Sunday Information Session at the Main Branch. You can register for that session here:

Want to know more about the Midlands Arts Conservatory? Please join us at the Main branch of the Richland Library Sunday, January 8 at 3 p.m. MAC staff and planning committee will be on hand to talk about the school and answer all of your questions. The library is located at 1431 Assembly Street. We will meet in the 2nd floor theatre.
We are pleased to announce that the Midlands Arts Conservatory (MAC) will open in August, 2017. MAC will have a focus on the visual arts, theater, dance and music.
We are starting to take applications for students who will be in the 6th and 7th grades. You can go online for the form to enroll http://midlandsartsconservatory.org/enroll/ , but we will have copies of the form available at our upcoming meetings. We are thrilled to announce that the South Carolina Charter School District has APPROVED the charter for our new arts school, the Midlands Arts Conservatory (MAC)!

And thanks to the parents and supporters who spoke at today's meeting - their comments were very moving, and I imagine that it helped to convince the Board of the need for MAC in this community.
Now we need to get busy with the next steps in order to be able to open MAC in September, 2017. I will keep you posted on our progress. If you would like to join the Planning Committee at this point, please let me know. We are especially interested in having people with business and financial experience to join the artists and educators on the committee.
Welcome, friends! Our founding committee is a a group of passionate Midlands educators and artists. We intend to open the Midlands Arts Conservatory (MAC) in 2017, starting with 6th and 7th graders and adding a grade level each year until our school serves 6th-12th grade. The school will have a focus on music, dance, theater and the visual arts.
