Senate Bill 1456 would prevent predators with a history of child sex abuse from gaming the system and jumping from job to job. Parents should have peace of mind that their children are safe no matter where they go to school.

Should educators who commit acts of sex abuse be able to move from school to school, all the while concealing their crimes and putting more children at risk?

Did you know that over a third of our nation’s vegetables and two-thirds of fruits are grown in California? Thanks to our state’s farmers for feeding America – and for bringing Agriculture Day to the Capitol!

The price tag for high-speed rail keeps going up – more than twice what was promised to voters. It’s past time for Governor Brown to end this project and use our money on California’s roads and highways. goo.gl/PY9j57

Billy Graham counseled generations of leaders and inspired countless people around the world, carrying himself with dignity and resolute confidence in his beliefs. Graham’s prayers and presence as “America’s Pastor” will be deeply missed.

"Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" compiles speeches made by Abraham Lincoln to give visitors at Disneyland an opportunity to hear the 16th president deliver remarks on liberty and our nation's independence. On this Presidents Day, his words are worth a read, as we reflect on his legacy and impact on our history.

The following transcript is the speech given by the audio-animatronic Abraham Lincoln as heard on the Walt Disney LP, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. It is a compilation of excerpts from four different speeches (links to original speeches provided).

Governor Brown “promised” that sex offenders wouldn’t go free under his Proposition 57…he deceived the public and has placed our families and loved ones in harm’s way.

Gov. Jerry Brown said all sex offenders would be excluded from early parole under Proposition 57, but a judge says that is too broad.

Today is Ronald Reagan Day in California, commemorating what would have been the 40th president's 107th birthday.

He delivered his farewell address to the nation in January 1989, reminding us all "that America is freedom-freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of enterprise. And freedom is special and rare. It's fragile; it needs protection."

If you haven't watched the full address (or it's been awhile) you can see it at this link.
