Another shot from San Francisco.. The lookout was near "Golden Gate View Point", but I just hopped over the fence and walked halfway down the mountain to a better spot.
This view was looking to the West, toward Marin Headlands.
After sitting for hours in the freezing cold, windy hilly area of San Francisco, it was all worth it once the almost Full Moon rose behind the bridge over the city.
It was a beautiful night, especially once I was finally able to get an Uber to pick me up and take me back to the city - where a pizza and a warm shower topped off the night
Have been in the US for the past week and a half - unfortunately not for the eclipse but for work.
Didn't get time to get out and do much photography - most of it on the iPhone but did spend one cold and windy evening taking some photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. Will post those sometime this week.
Glad to be home today!
One last shot..
I've lost count of the number of times I've taken "one last shot" while walking back to the car after a nightscape session... even when all my gear is packed away 😂
This is one of those times, after my Cathedral Rocks session 😊
Over the weekend I was down at the CrossFit Games Regionals, at Wollongong. Not in any official capacity, but I enjoy taking photos of the athletes.
Here's a select few from the over 1000 I captured. Need to finish whittling them down tonight 😂
Canon 6D and 120-400mm lens.
