Still out hitting doors all day and getting great feedback. State News survey is out today and people that read it who talked to asked if I was sure that I'm not the guy who is in office, because my replies were so much better than the Senator. I will post a link to the survey here and also include the two sections the State News chose not to print.

Do you agree with DelDOT’s current project prioritization approach? If not, what would you change?

No, I do not. The new too...

I am not good at asking for help, but was wondering if anyone would be willing to man the polls on election day? I try to do everything myself and hate to bother people, but I can only be at one place so I thought I would ask. If you would be willing for even part of the day please message me. Thank You

I attended the League of Women Voters debate at Modern Maturity in Dover. I want to thank the league for inviting me to give the people an opportunity to hear my views in a formal setting. I however was not able to participate because my opponent did not show up for the debate. He has avoided me at every opportunity and this is now four debates that I have been to and he has not come to contest me. I apologize to the citizens who came out to specifically see the Senator a...nd I give our views, but I can’t force Senator Bonini to do the right thing and face me or them in a public forum. I want to thank the people who took time to speak with me after the debate and look forward to continuing those conversations in an official manner. I was grateful to hear the views of candidates that I will be voting for, so in all the night was a win for me. I encourage anyone with any questions to please contact me directly.

October 11th.

It has been another busy past two weeks out talking to people in Magnolia, Camden and Rodney Village. I appreciate all the people who took the time to speak with me and apologize to all the ones I missed. I hope you will talk to your neighbors and contact me with any questions you may have.

September 27th.

We had a really busy week out in area communities talking with a lot of really great people! The week was finished up at Caesar Rodney Pride Day. This is a great event every year that my family really enjoys. I spent the day talking to parents, grand parents and some of my favorite people in the world, The hard working teachers of our district! Thank you to all of the CR teachers and teachers everywhere for all that you do!

Had a great day out at Magnolia Fire Prevention and Heritage Day. Promoted and got petition signatures with Bob Murphy for the Kent County Regional Sports Complex. Walked in the parade with the family and met some great people in our community. Seems like a lot of people are fed up with the same old politics as usual we get from Dover.

I had a busy Friday. Started out with a presentation by the Rodel foundation, Education Policy Institute 2014. Rodel does a great job of breaking down the issues of race to the top and common core. The presenters were well versed and provided meaningful information to the attendees and fielded many questions from those present. Needless to say, sitting 16th district State Senator Colin Bonini was not in attendance. Perhaps he doesn’t place the same value on our children’...s education that I do. Next came a trip to the Dept. of Elections for Kent County. Thank you Doris and Allen for all your help. I then walked some communities talked to residents about their concerns. I finished the day supporting the Terry Farrell Firefighter Fund. We had a fun yet rough trip on the Delaware bay to benefit Donald Foraker an injured member of the Bowers Fire Company. I thank Bowers and all of our volunteer fire companies for all they do.

Three debates down and 18 year incumbent Colin Bonini doesn’t show up at any of them. Not really a surprise, but you would think he would want to have the opportunity to talk about all he has done for the people he serves. Could be that he is worried that they wouldn’t be real impressed with commemorating Ronald Reagan’s birthday on February 6 and rarely showing up in the State House. Freshman Senator Dave Lawson did far more than Senator Bonini in the past two years. That is just an embarrassment I am sure he didn’t want discussed in an open public forum. I think the people deserve better.

DELAWARE STATE SPORTSMEN'S ASSOCIATION and the NRA will not allow me to fill out their survey as an Independent candidate on the ballot, yet they allow Brian Pettyjohn to fill it out as a write in. This is completely wrong and serves to silence the voice of minor party candidates in support of the two party monopoly! For the record. I fully support your second amendment rights and will fight any challenge to the peoples right to bear arms!

We had a great day yesterday at the minor party meet and greet/minority outreach! Those in attendance learned a lot about the alternative parties and I think that I learned even more from all of them. It was a great open forum on government in general, issues in the community and concerns that effect us all. It was give and take with a collective sharing of ideas and solutions. I think this is the way government is supposed to work and what I would strive for if I win this election. I want to thank Dr. Kim Warfield for giving us this venue and for all of the great work that you do in the community! If you are not aware of the Delaware Minority Outreach Committee, you need to take a look at the good work they do and support their mission. Again thank you to all those who attended and to Dr. Warfield as well.

I just returned from the Mt. Zion, Star Hill and Missionary Baptist Church debate. I want to thank them for the opportunity to participate and have my voice heard. It is my understanding the Senator Bonini doesn’t intend to participate in any of the debates, because if he isn’t present, I am not allowed to participate. I am disappointed in this as I don’t get the chance to have a one on one forum to discuss the issues and his service over the last 18 years. I guess it is ...smart on his part as I have little time and virtually no money. Any acknowledgement of my candidacy just gives it credibility. So I guess the easiest strategy is to pretend that I’m not there and hope the voters just vote for him because it is what they have done. I hope that you will all inform your friends and neighbors about my candidacy and let them know that a better choice is available.

Today’s Dover Post article on the 16th Senate Race for any that haven’t seen it. Like a typical politician Senator Bonini’s facts are a bit off.

Spent the day at the Rodel Foundation Education Policy Institute 2012. It was an informative session on current happenings in the States public education system designed for legislators and candidates for office. I was disappointed that only a handful of current legislators attended and were likely outnumbered by challengers for office. Senator Bonini, my opponent in the November general election was not in attendance. Quality education is very important to me as a father of three children with another on the way. I guess that the Senator doesn’t have the same sense of importance, yet he represents many families with children in his district.

Out today meeting voters at the polls. Turn out was light, but I did meet some great people!!

When elected 16th District State Senator, I will work with the citizens of this great State to collectively shape a better future for all our families.
