This crazy, fantastical, and love-filled play called "Failure: A Love Story" opens TONIGHT!! **"Woody Guthrie's American Song"--Cast Recording CD!! ** Over the years many of you have asked us if there is a recording of the musical that first brought us together 10 years ago. Many of you even saw the recent productions we did at the... Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse (2012), Marin Theatre Company (2010) or the Colorado Shakespeare Festival (2008). Well, the show was recorded live at The Freight two years ago, and sounds amazing!!! The producers need a little help to finish up the record in time for the very special 4-night run of the show at the Freight this July 17-20th. Check out the video to learn more about this very special project, and we hope you'll consider contributing--every bit helps! Thank you!!

Happy Monday everyone! All three parts of Tom Stoppard's epic trilogy "The Coast of Utopia" in #Berkeley at Shotgun Players is finally open and it's a beautiful thing to behold! Sam plays Nik Ogarev - Russian revolutionary & poet in parts 2... and 3 of this amazing cycle of plays that chronicle many of the most important and outspoken thinkers, writers, and philosophers of Russia during the mid-late 1800's leading up to the Russian revolution. This piece is so timely considering the recent and ongoing events in the Ukraine and Crimea. These plays beautifully depict the struggle of people during this time effect real and lasting change in Europe and Russia at large - the political unrest, the iron-clad class system, and the crushing poverty of the masses.
