May 7th. Little grassy lake near carbondale, il. Couple of us will be fishing all day there if anyone wishes to join. You will need an illinois license, water use sticker, and a refuge permit.
It's a small price to pay for such an amazing lake.
Vegetation, standing timber, laydowns, rock shelves, it has everything bass love.
And it's a 10h.p. limit.

time to dust off that fishing gear, if you even bothered to put it away, relube your reels, change your line, and renew your fishing license!!

What is your favorite cold water lure/technique?
I like jerkbaits when the water is below 45ºF

Lets see those fish pictures! I'm sure you all are catching some big fish on topwater this fall. if not, j7 rapala, buzzbait, frog. thank me later. and take pictures or it didn't happen!!

It's that time of year again. The bass are stupid and trying to fatten up for the winter. It's buzzbait time! Hollow bodied frogs and floating jointed minnow baits are also hot. And if you want a shot at a monster bass, throw that big swim bait all day. You might not catch numbers, but you will definitely catch size.

Next tournament is oct. 10th at table Rock lake! Come support the only in state kayak fishing series! Help grow the sport and meet some new friends.

Hey guys Ozarks Extreme Outdoors is getting ready to place their order with Manley Rods. If any of you have been interested in getting and trying out one of th...ese awesome rods, let me know and we can throw your rod into the order. We will be ordering a mixture of models but will not have every model at this time. They have Casting and Spinning rods in both the Gold and Platinum Series available to order so if there is a specific one now is the time. The Platinum has all the same features as the Gold Series with some added upgrades. Here is a break down between the two series and an image of the models available to order. Thanks everyone and we will see you at the Classic on the 10th of October.

The Platinum Series of kayak rods up the ante even further. The MRF System itself is a complete game changer in the kayak. It allows the angler to keep the rod butt off his PFD while sitting, but still giving him or her the option of extending the butt to make a long two-handed cast or for added leverage when fighting a big fish. With an added foregrip to help when netting a fish or fighting the big one, these rods will meet the needs of even the most competitive kayak anglers.

Changes have been made to the tournament schedule, due to unforseen circumstances. Please note the new dates, hope to see some of you there!!

Show Me Kayak Fishing Association

We have decided to push back the Pomme De Terre Tournament due to a scheduling conflict with the Midwest Kayak Fishing Series. I know there are a few anglers t...hat planned on attending the live event in July and for some reason the dates were looked at wrong. We want to maximise participation and have spoke to a few Anglers and this seems to work the best. The Pomme De Terre tournament will be pushed back to August 8th and will be a road runner style tournament we will be set up at the Lightfoot Public Use area. Captains meeting will be at 6:00 am and anglers will be released shortly after to launch or drive to their launch. Tournament will end at 3:00 pm and all anglers will check back in at Lightfoot. There will be a boundary set up for the lake for legal waters to fish on and those details will come shortly.
Also due to the Taneycomo tournament scheduled for the following weekend on the 15th we will push that date back as well to the 29th of August.
We have been talking about still possibly doing an outing on the 25th of July, the original date of Pomme, to get together and do some fishing as a club.
I hope that this doesn't put anyone else out and if you have any questions please feel free to send me or the club a message.

Thanks
Eric
