An excellent attempt to pull all things autism in Missouri into one place. I think I know a lot of what is going on in the local autism community, but the MAR challenges my thinking.

I love this publication! Even though my daughter's diagnosis is Angelman Syndrome, there are still a lot of useful articles and events within these pages for us. Thank you!

Please see the attached flyer regarding two DD focus groups on March 12th, in Springfield. They are needing families to sign up and participate it looks like up to 20 a session. This is a great opportunity to be heard and possibly gear the state towards future planning decisions.

The Missouri Autism Report is in need of a Web Design person to help us finish and maintain our online magazine website. If you know of someone who would be interested, please send us their info, or send them to us. Thanks!

As I prepare to create the November/December issue of the MAR, I have mixed emotions. After 7 years of producing a parent-led magazine to connect and inform the autism community, I am taking a rest from publishing. This upcoming issue will be our "farewell edition". We are taking a break, resting my painful, arthritic hands, and trying to make some preparations for retirement. Originally this WAS my retirement plan, but though it was a great "ministry", it never grew to the p...lace it needed to be, financially. We will still be publishing a TRANSITIONS issue in January, and the magazine archives will be available for at least a year, through the MAR website at www.moautismreport.com. In the mean-time, I will be re-evaluating, resting and completing some much-needed schooling, in preparation for what comes next.

If you would like to send a farewell message or photo, a memory or that story you never sent, please do so by the end of this week, as I have already begun publication on the November/December issue.

This is also the last issue with events, so be sure to send those, as well.

It has been a great 7 years, and the friends I have made will be "forever" friends. Now, I'm going to go make a magazine! Send all your correspondence to dayna@moautismreport.com, for the November/December 2017 Farewell Edition of the MAR.

The MAR wants to congratulate our web designer, Megan Blevins on her new job! However, we are now looking for a "replacement web designer" to help with our website. If you have great web design skills, and would like to help the MAR keep our website going, please contact Dayna Ault (editor/owner) at dayna@moautismreport.com. Thanks again to Megan, for the great job she has done. If you want to check out her work, go to www.moautismreport.com. While you are there, check out the archives!
