As our hearts break for the families who lost children in yesterday's shooting in Parkland, Florida, Montpelier's Valentine hearts remind us once again that strong communities are built on love. Thank you again Phantom (and your assistants from our own school classrooms) for bringing such joy.
We're so lucky that Union Elementary School students have put their all-school community art project on display here in City Hall. The quilt is covered with the students' hand-prints and with the word love spelled in the languages they speak at home. We are so moved by the inspiration behind it. Thank you for spreading the love, students!

MPD officers and dispatchers spent some time recently renewing annual certifications in first aid, CPR, the use of Naloxone (Narcan), and automated external def...ibrillators.
All of our staff are trained as first responders, all officers carry Naloxone (Narcan), and all cruisers are equipped with AEDs.
