We are not currently selling our own yarns, but we are doing some dyeing for Bay Haven Short Tails. Beautiful yarns from Finnish Landrace sheep raised on Long Island, available this weekend at Vogue Knitting Live NYC (Booth 916, 6th Floor).
So excited with our new colors and blends. Our new sock yarns in Flame and Deep Sea, Copper Beach in our Finngora Rose, and Fall at the Beach in 100% Finnish La...ndrace. What keeps our yarns unique is that they are all home grown. These won't last so come see us in booth 916 on the 6th floor at Vogue Knitting Live at the Marriott Marquis this Friday through Sunday!
Want to know what goes in to the great fiber arts classes that you register for at festivals/guilds/yarn shops?
NYC peeps! The premier of the YARN movie is today at the IFC at 323 Sixth Avenue at West Third Street. Trisha Malcolm will be hosting a Q&A with the filmmaker after the 6.30pm showing.
Tonight I'll be giving a presentation on dyeing at the Eastern Long Island Knitting Guild. If you're in the area, I hope to see you there!
Tomorrow we will be having Betty Murphy from Moose Manor Hand Paints! She is a fabulous local indie dyer that will take us through her creative process of dying yarn! Her wealth of knowledge is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat! Hope to see you there!
The awesomeness of yarn bombing!
Although we are not vending this year, there are plenty of wonderful yarn and fiber vendors to visit, not to mention the animals. Head on out to Hallockville!
Thanks to all who came out for day 1 of the LI Fleece and Fiber Fair at Hallockville! Today is breezy but sunny, still a great day to come out to watch and learn all about fiber animals and arts and crafts!
