Sadly I have to agree with everyone else. :-( Used to be a good shop but gone down hill. What has happened?

The energy is weird in here. It's local to me but I don't like the unfriendly vibe. The staff are so uninterested in customers that I have stopped coming and started to shop elsewhere. Considering its... size choice is uninspiring and poor. They sell some nice teas but these could be brought in Tesco tbh. A shamanic clearing would do it the world of good. See More

Popped in here recently. Dirty floor and tables, dead flies and dust on window sills, no towel or light in toilet, very pricey food and staff and manager talking about how badly run and dirty the plac...e is. Abandoned my bitter coffee and went elsewhere. A shame - it looked so promising from the outside. See More

Friendly, helpful staff, lovely local vibe, and a welcome contrast to the overpriced organic superstores. So glad Mother Earth is still going strong at a time when small businesses are going under: it...'s really important for the local community. The fact that the Healthy Living Centre's reception is on the shop floor of the Highbury shop makes complementary therapies much more accessible to a wider range of people, and truly part of a holistic, healthy life. Totally agree with Rosie. I went in and no hello, can I help? When I asked if the cupcake was Vegan I got a tut and no eye contact. Wasn't asked if I needed a bag,

Some of the rudest most disinterested staff I've ever come across - and I've been in 4 times and been served by 4 different people, including one man who played his music so loud he couldn't hear the ...customers ! See More

Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. I'd much rather shop here than Wholefoods and pleased there is such a great local shop to support.

I visited the store on Thursday evening at Newington Green. The customer service was shocking, I was spoken to in a condescending manner when I asked questions about products. Will not be rushing back.

I love strawberries and I often use their leaves for therapeutic purposes. Just make sure you always have organic strawberries because the conventional ones are... heavily sprayed with pesticides! - Margaux Authentic Self Wellness

Another extraordinary food made in our kitchen. Patka's crackers are #raw and made with her own sauerkraut and they are delicious (and of course are available in all our shops as well as other high quality East London emporia). #rawfood #fermented #localfood

Thank you Laura Coxeter for nice pic xx

We're big fans of Made In Hackney Local Food Kitchen - the courses they do and their work with people on low income is great, and from experience we can say that their fermenting course was fantastic (to prove it here's a picture of Dominic from Mother Earth in the midst of learning to make sauerkraut).

Quinoa, my friend, we need to talk.

Very good on the anti-fat crusade and the dubious science behind it. Aimed at the US but given that UK dietary fads / advice from doctors so often follow the US it's definitely relevant.

Americans have been told for decades to avoid butter, cheese, red meat and other fatty foods because they cause heart disease. But do they really? The dubious science behind the anti-fat crusade

The kitchen is being rejigged and rethunk. Apologies for the reduced output - it will be building back up over the next couple of months, and you'll be seeing changes in the cafe space as well...

Lots of good kimchi facts here. We sell a locally made, unpasteurised one...
