UHMC STUDENTS: Musixmatch has received five tickets for this concert with the request that they be provided for free to deserving students. The catch: you need to write a short essay on what music means to you, and why you would like to attend this concert. If you have or are planning to take a music class at UHMC, you should mention that as well as preference will be given to past or current music students. Send your essay to donaghy@hawaii.edu. Deadline for these emails is Tuesday, January 16 at noon, and Dr. Donaghy will notify the winners that afternoon.

Bring your family, friends, or that special someone and get ready for a night of love, laughter, and music with Jim Brickman.

Aspiring musicians are encouraged to apply for the Emma Veary Music Scholarship at the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College. This scholarship was established in 2014 through the generous gift of Dr. Laurel Lee Roberts, a fan of Mrs. Veary during her times as a college student on O‘ahu nearly 40 years ago. While decades have passed, those memories are still strong for Dr. Roberts who is now an attorney in Southern California.

For the academic year starting in Fall 2017 two $600 scholarships will be awarded to UHMC students who have demonstrated excellence and potential in music.

For more information please contact Karyn Sarring by emailing sarring@hawaii.edu or call (808) 205-1241.
