Very unfortunate experience with this organization. Not very organized but more importantly their unknown policy and procedures are disturbing. After seeing and being with the puppy we were hoping t...o adopt, we were denied, I believe, because we didn't return a phone call that was never received.

I hate to complain but it's devastating and I am concerned with how they treat applicants and more importantly it appears they care very little about the families involved. The puppies sister was placed across the street from us and will be a constant reminder to me and my child of the puppy we hoped would be part of our family.

I adopted my dog Buzz from Mutts Matter in Winter 2016 and I could not be more in love with him! 😍 Mutts Matter was very responsive to my questions throughout the adoption process and his foster mom awesome. My husband, first dog Minnie, and I are forever grateful to the Mutts Matter team for bringing Buzz into our lives! If possible we'd love to learn more of his backstory before he came to Mutts Matter as we can't see why someone would've given him up! See More

I have been looking for this shelter for weeks. We have no numerical address, our voice messages have never been answered. The address is a POBox and the only address is 1st street. Where on 1st street...? This is not the way to run a shelter, we have liked a few of the dogs on their site, but we are unable to go to the site because there is no numerical address. Please Help.. We adopted our baby from them over 3 years ago and the process was clear, easy, but thorough and we are so happy they chose us. We still keep in touch with the Samets and tag them in photos of Aiden, ...and I love that they still care. ❤️ See More

It seems the great reviews are from a few years ago. I cannot get an answer. I just want to know if I should be looking elsewhere. By the rescue giving no response, it prevents want to be parents from... looking other places and just not adopting at all. See More

We adopted a 1 yr old pug in 2013 and have since fostered several other dogs. This rescue is
Completely run by volunteers, so you need to be patient during the approval process and getting home visits... scheduled. The fosters are great at providing feedback about who would make a good adopter, and also when the dog you have your heart set on may not be the best fit, as was the case with the first dog we applied for. Mutts Matter tends to rescue smaller breeds, although sometimes they get larger dogs. And if you are a pug fan it's rare that they don't have a pug in need of a good home. See More

September 2014 we adopted a bonded pair of Pugs, Tank & Sofie. What a wonderful addition this duo has been to our family. So happy these volunteers take the time to visit those who want to adopt and m...ake sure it is a win-win for all. Thankful to Mutts Matter Rescue for their hard work and to our pugs who allow us to share their king sized bed with them. See More

Barnes, our deaf Australian shepherd, was adopted through Mutts Matter. They did such an amazing job at getting him ready to be adopted: his foster home was incredible, he got top notch vet care, and ...they even took him to see one of the best deaf dog trainers on the east coast. We adore our boy and are forever grateful to MMR See More

Red knows how to spread his wings and loves to run and play! He is most certainly enjoying his current fosters backyard, BUT is ready now for a forever home to call him own. A big thanks again to our rescue partners, One By One Animal Advocates for helping Red on his journey to us in MD!
