Hummingbirds are enjoying it to be cooler now.

I am sorry pictures and updates on my garden have been rare lately. But buying a lot of plants becomes expensive. So I needed to slow down, even if I don`t want to. I want to see my food forest growing and thriving.

Welcome APPLE season! I'll be sharing apple recipes in coming weeks, but first... get to know your apples. This APPLE SPECTRUM helps you select apples from sweet to tart, and shows which are best for baking/cooking! (Click to enlarge the image to print/bookmark.)

I tried so hard to get a hold of the tree trimmers to get more wood chips, but haven`t get a response for almost a year. So I start now harvesting the invasive wild passion vines in my garden. One weelbarrow at a time. Then let it dry out for 2-3 days and use that as mulch. Better then depend on somebody else.
Here is my monster banana plant. Which grows next to the compost bin. It really loves it spot. I forgot the variety, but I believe it is a veinte cohol.
We got quite a few plants today. Two Elderberries, one Elephant ear, one white Lead Tree (nitrogen fixer), one huge Cherimoya, some malabar spinach, papyrus (for next to the pond) and a bush cherry. Happy can`t wait for planting it, it is just so hot outside
Really looking forward to tomorrow for my monthly plant shopping at my favorite local nursery.
Some of my newer plants.
Picture 1 is my new Monkspepper plant, I got 2 weeks ago.
Picture 2 is from my Tangerine I planted last year and which survived our really cold last winter.
Picture 3 is from a awesome Dragonfly, which was just there, when I took the other pictures.

I bought yesterday a passion fruit vine appropriate for my area and a chaste tree. Pictures follow.
Got some Cassava Cuttings in the mail today. I am on my way out to plant them now, to take advantage of the rain we had yesterday evening.
