- It was another stormy day across East Central Florida on Wednesday with winds gusts in storms leading to some damage across the region along with heavy rainfall and minor flooding in many locations. Vero Beach set a new rainfall record with 3.12" and Melbourne saw 1.50", also a new record.

These storms formed as a result of the collision between the Lake Okeechobee breeze and the east-coast sea breeze.
Remember, thunderstorms need three ingredients to form; moisture, instability, and a source of lift (e.g. today's boundary collisions!).
