The Ballard Boys Lacrosse team is a completely self-funded club. Help them raise funds for equipment, field rentals and other gear needed to grow the game here in Seattle!
“The words that follow I Am, follow you.”
This is solid truth. Attitude and hard work is what it takes!
Stoked to see David Mather from UW in goal!
Will you be at LaxCon this weekend? Shoot me a message!
Regy Thorpe, the head coach for the U.S. men’s indoor lacrosse team, has announced the players that will participate in the Blue-White exhibition on Saturday, J...an. 20 at 7 p.m. at DuBurns Arena in Baltimore. Admission is free for all LaxCon (with credential) and FanFest (with wristband) attendees, and $5 for all others.
Excited to be heading to Baltimore again this year for LaxCon. Are you attending, or just in the area? Come on by our annual social to meet players, coaches and everyone else involved with Ireland Lacrosse!
In high school I had this one coach. He had a very big impact on my my life in the short time we had together. And this is one of the questions he asked every player on the team. I use it myself now with the young men that I coach.
One great thing about having a camera phone at the gym is being able to review your form from angles you can’t see while you’re performing a movement.
Side note: finally admitted that my knees are not what they used to be and picked up some new wraps. Absolutely love these. Fit it perfect and ZERO knee issues.
Excited to finally see Ras Vaughan’s video of this experience. Absolutely love it!!
"It was amazingly humbling" The Drakensberg Traverse is a wild route-ish of 137 miles and 30k' of ascending that runs between South Africa and Lesotho. This pas...t fall Ras took on this largely unmarked challenge solo with the goal of completing the course twice (as an out-and-back), unsupported trek. While I've just started putting together a film telling his story, I couldn't wait to show you some of amazing shots Ras captured while on the trek. Look for a more complete edit in 2018.
This right here. As a athlete parent and a coach, here's a reminder for all of us parents out there about how important the conversations we have with our kids in the car ride home is, whether it's a game, practice or school. What we say has a huge impact on our kids perception of themselves.
So true, it just for US Lax, but worldwide. Gotta support the young guys willing to put time in between the pipes.
I coach at the High School and Club level, but cut my teeth with Youth, and can definitively say that at that level you really do have an opportunity to have a huge impact on who that kid grows up to be. It's the reason I am so passionate about working with youth in the offseason, and partnering my HS team with youth organizations in the local community.
If you ever have the opportunity to be a part of a youth sport, I highly recommend it. You'll not only help these kids become better athletes, you'll help yourself become a better person.
