In an effort to improve NYPA’s waste diversion efforts and NY trash reduction & recycling goals, we placed new communal waste stations throughout our headquarters.
The new waste stations aim to make staff more aware & responsible for trash disposal.

The Every Day is Earth Day event: will feature 'The Greenheart' band playing conservation music on solar-powered instruments, along with other “green-themed” demonstrations, activities, exhibitors, crafts and face painting. Enjoy free rides on the Niagara Scenic Trolley between the Niagara Power Vista and Gorge Discovery Center during the event. Parking and admission are free at the Power Vista.
The Sculpture Contest: one of the most popular features of our “Every Day is Eart...h Day” celebration is the sculpture contest! We encourage visitors of all ages to participate. Get in touch with your inner sculptor and create a work of art made of recyclable materials, such as egg and milk cartons, newspapers, toilet paper rolls, plastic grocery bags. Artists are encouraged to be as creative and imaginative as possible, and to draw inspiration from the world around them.
