Our quilting community extends past our hometown borders, it continues throughout our nation and beyond. This program is proof of that! My row depicts where I live, a warm home in the foothills of the Adirondacks. But I also wanted to symbolize that AMERiCA is my home sweet home. It is my safe place because of the brave men and women who enter harm’s way to protect it and us. Therefore, I chose to make my row kit in red, white and blue to honor our American Troops and salute them for a job well done. Without them we would not be the land of the free.

Home Sweet Home was a hard topic for me this year.
I talked with my friends (did my own survey) asking what it meant to them. My friend, Sue said, sitting on my front porch with my cat on my lap.Yeah! I had my theme taking form.

"Hole in the Barn Door" row was inspired by my equine types in the backyard! Since my shop is named for two of my horses, I figured one of my rows should have something to do with the donkey/horses and the barn as their "Home Sweet Home."
