The underpinning of Nathaniel Anderson’s creativity is working with “raw talent and giving it life.” He states, “I am fortunate to use a medium that speaks to so many. The use of creative lighting and composition, are the portal that gives access to new interpretation.”
“With this work, I wanted to use something different – the use of wood, is exciting to me. It’s a journey that has never been taken before in terms of my photography and art. And with this new discovery. I hope to be able to follow this path to more creativity.”
Nathaniel Anderson’s inspiration is simple: Design. People. Sensuality.
“These pieces are a combination of my ‘Dancer’ and ‘Nude’ Series. My fascination with dancers stems from them being able to convey an emotion or a feeling with a move of the hand to a simple look or gesture. For me, the challenge of capturing that movement in time, that fluidity, is a melding of our talents – my lighting and their beauty. There is nothing more sensual than the human body. There is nothing to be ashamed of in terms of the body. I love to show it in all its glory."
The unmasking of layers, the unmasking of wood, the unmasking of people. Truly a creation of volatility.
