Hello to all my Poetry friends, especially to the finalists from this year's cup. I need to let you all know that the videos of the event will be posted as soon as we can. I am presently having a major family drama going on with the big C. being the enemy to deal with. Busy times with doctor's and hospitals and caring so my apologies to you all for the delay or lack of action on my part in doing anything to do with the Poetry Cup. I am still holding the monthly Poetry nights at the Oasis and am thankful for the support from my wonderful community. Blessed Be and thanks to all the wonderful poets who turned up for this years event.
Love and joy to you all. thanks.
Gail M.

I won the cup! - last night's Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup. I love it. I love that you get a big beautiful gaudy cup and two thousand in cash stuffed in envelope. I love this beautifully human weekend of people and poetry. Congrats to my brilliant fellow finalists, judges, audience and organisers - particularly the magnificent Gail Clarke.

For those not making it to the semi's, thank you for your efforts and hopefully you are inspired to return, better than ever in the coming years. Practice, practice and more, attend Poetry gigs when ever possible and if there is not one near you, start your own, you could be surprised at the interest.
Thanks to all the judges for doing what they do with great consideration and openness to the challenge.
Hopefully I will get time to get back to the desk and print up the finalist for tonight. Have a wonderful father's day to all you dads out there.

Thanks to Bico for helping me get this year's application form ready for printing. Have been having a very busy time lately, as no doubt many of you have. Hard to believe it's half way through the year, and soon enough the Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup for 2017 will be upon us. Time for me to start the PR stuff, a few press releases, and radio interviews locally, I will be relying on you all to pass the information on to any you think would love to come to Nimbin and give this a go. Any past visitors feel free to post comments on your experience of being in Nimbin for this great event. More news, a bit more regularly now as the date drawn near. Much respect and love to you all.
