A couple years ago in Pensacola, Josh and I met Mick Foley at a comic con. We spoke for a few minutes on the convention floor, and before I went back to my signing Mick suggested we join him at a restaurant that night. We assumed it was a big group dinner for the convention, but when we arrived it was literally just the two of us and MICK FREAKING FOLEY!!!!! We talked for hours, and that sparked one of the most awesome friendships.
Mick is one of the kindest, most humble and... hard working people I know and to have him come to shows and be so nice to Josh and I- much less WRITE A BLOG ABOUT ME!!!- is such an honor.
Make sure and check out his upcoming speaking tour, and if you’re coming to the Pasadena date, you’ll definitely see a familiar face (and probably a familiar guitar too!) THANK YOU Mick for your friendship and for this beautiful piece! I’ll post the link in the comments below!!
Throwback Thursday- Guatemala City in 2012 with The Iron Maidens!!! ☠️ Impossible not to sing along to all that Maiden!!! What’s one Maiden song you just have to belt out full volume when it comes on?? 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I’ve been holding out for weeks trying to wait until I got a copy of this in my hands... but there have been no newsstands or bookstores around us and I CAN’T WAIT ANYMORE!!!! Go check out the newest issue of Guitar Player magazine, on stands now!! This is the first ever feature on the JIVA, and my first time on the cover of a guitar magazine 🎸🎸🎸😭☺️
Thank you so much to Michael Molenda, Paul Haggard, and all at Guitar Player for making this happen- I am SO HAPPY!!!
Just finished soundcheck with the guys at Rascal’s in Moline! If you’re in town for our show at Taxslayer Center tomorrow, come by Rascal’s tonight for a little pre party jam with the band members!!!
We’ve been driving for about 12 hours, so it’s been a quiet morning reading and dozing in and out on the bus... almost to the hotel now, so it’s time for me to get up and start getting some work done!!!! What are you guys up to on this fine Sunday?
Just a few of the incredibly strong, badass, BOSS WOMEN that I’m lucky enough to call friends. Every day is Women’s Day when you hang around with a crew like this. From ripping musicians to Olympic athletes, I may rarely see most of these women- but that’s because we’re all out running around the world chasing our dreams 🔥 I think I can speak for everyone in all these pictures when I say- if we can do it, YOU can do it. You are stronger than you know!!!
SO AWESOME D'Addario and Co.!!! Great excuse to go get that string winder/ cutter I'm so obsessed with.
On March 8th, buy any D’Addario product at Guitar Center or Guitarcenter.com and the D’Addario Foundation will donate 50% of every sale to support music education for girls. This partnership falls in line with D’Addario’s overarching mission to inspire performance in all musicians, and create positive social change both within and beyond the music community – especially for... the next generation of players.
Proceeds from this day will go directly to the Music Education for Girls Initiative, a special fund established within the D’Addario Foundation that provides girls with advanced learning opportunities, scholarships, and transformative musical experiences that foster both personal and professional growth. This support not only serves to motivate girls to continue participating in existing programs, but to nurture them along their educational journey.
