Every year photographers are invited to illustrate the impact that financial inclusion can have on the over 2 billion unbanked people.

A special acknowledgement to the Africa regional winner, Hailey Tucker, for her photo titled, ‘Video marketing with tablets’, which shows an agent using a mobile tablet to show smallholder farmers in Kenya a video on asset-backed borrowing.

2017 was an exciting year, not just for us, but for the African fintech ecosystem in general. This year we graduated to partnering with a bank and building a solution that allows informal merchants to offer basic banking services in their communities. Keep an eye out early next year for more information. We look forward to an exciting 2018!

Nomanini has been selected as a Finalist in the MIT Inclusive Innovation Challenge!

We are one of four finalists (from among 300 organisations) in the Financial Inclusion category and have received a $35,000 award in recognition of our transformative approach to driving economic opportunity in the digital age.

CEO Vahid Monadjem will be attending the MIT IIC Celebration in Boston on October 12 to receive the award. As a finalist, we are in the running for one of four Grand Prize awards, whose total prize will be $150,000.
