Since the Statesman is on sabbatical introducing the Europeans and spiritually unenlightened to the "NUTR Shoey" the young guns of Coco and Peej are taking it upon themselves to keep his flag flying (apparently he needs help to keep it up these days). Hey NUTRs, what I love about routine is breaking it! So this weekend we have a change to the normal social. Strap yourselves in...
5pm The Beer Run, 60 mins from Noosa SLSC through Nat park to end up at Halse Lodge Noosa YHA for Happy Hour.
5:30am 3 hours ish from Mapleton Duck ponds including 450m gain per 10km...and with cakes to finish!

6am from the Pomona Roundabout 14kms with a 8km short option. A summit of Cooroora is optional, coffee and cakes after is not!
You can either climb to the summit for selfies and inspiring quotes, or have a group pic drinking coffee and stuffing eclairs in to your gob.

Happy a parky, beery, foody, runny week !
It is with huge pleasure and even greater honour, that we, having consulted with the Guard family, announce that the ladies and men participating in the BVRT mi...ler in June, will be competing respectively for the Jill and Roger Guard shields, both of whom sadly passed away in the MH17 tragedy in 2014.
Roger was an ever present on the SEQ trail scene, usually with Jill somewhere around, either in support or sometimes reading a book while Roger got on with business.
Much more than that, both were highly respected doctors and leave a legacy of care, passion and enthusiasm that remains to this day, both having carried out much work for the local and overseas community.
They are sadly missed but passionately remembered by Amanda, David, Paul and the family and we are immensely proud to be able to associate the event with their memory.
The Friday feeling...even with Winston still on his European Assault, the Beer Run continues to resist pressures to become the Wine Run, or the Campari and soda stroll.
Keep the spirit of the Statesman alive this weekend...
